Surprised they aren't playing it more considering it has the new video to go with it.
From Junior on Toolnavy: To my knowledge, that's not the music video for "The Pot".

Wow, getting the Doors to open the show is quite an achievement. I guess this means RP is going to find a way to be there. How could he miss that? It's like having LIVE open for NUKE.

San Jose tonight with @ Lachrymologist (what a kind BDay present that is).

Gracias amigos. I've lost count of my age... the tablets I was using to mark the passage of time have faded.

Here is my bold prediction for the San Jose setlist:

Set 1:
The Grudge
Parabol
Parabola
Schism
Opiate
Ænema
Descending
Jambi
Third Eye
Forty-Six & 2

Set 2:
Drum Solo
The Pot (8`)
Sweat
(-) Ions
Stinkfist

I can guarantee you you'll get something cooler than that. At least one guest on stage, even if it's for an existing song. Wouldn't shock me if they did You Lied with Buzz again.

They better do something big. They're hyping the shit out of this show. Then again, there's probably 30,000 more tickets to sell...

I was thinking along the same lines, but am not going to let my expectations get the best of me. Maybe they'll bring back "Stranglehold"?

I'm definitely curious to know how many people will show up for this final show. The seated section holds approximately 10k, with the remaining 50k on the lawn. Two more days!

To be fair, they have changed it up a fair amount over those 11 years, considering a) they've never been the kind of band to wildly change a setlist in one particular leg of a tour, and b) their catalog is only so big to begin with. That run up to the '09 tours was a bit of a drag though, I'll give them that. But 2010-2017 have been really awesome changes between tours in my opinion. Especially when you factor in the visual leaps and the resurgence/strengthening of Maynard's voice.

Yep, I imagine if you presented a list of the songs played over the last 11 years it'd be quite a lengthy one. The issue is more that the "core" setlist is mostly the same 7-8 songs.

Personally I've never had an issue with the lack of "variety" in a Tool setlist, but understand the complaints of those that do. If anything, I'd rather a longer set than a more varied one.

fingers crossed (but not expecting) having buzz for a "you lied" guest performance. I imagine it'll still be the same set, hoping for the pot (eulogy of course above that, but feel it was a one timer). Either way this show goes down I'm stoked! 14th show for myself, see you guys a cali soon!

Yessssss.

I feel like if you went to enough shows during that run you made the tshirt about, you must be in the same boat I am where you're still basking in these newer setlists haha.

Took a picture of the Gorge poster before I put it away. Not a fan of how easily the gloss black background of this poster scratches and holds onto finger prints.

I hope they do, and I'm sure the SB show will have some significant set change. Wish I could go.

It was really nice meeting and hanging out with Lachrymologist. He's a very mellow soul. Thanks again for the generous gift my friend!

The SJ show was quite good IMO. I usually tend to sit closer (or I'm on the floor), and sometimes that means a more obstructed view at times. These seats were just about perfect for the view, about 3/4 back on the left side, second row from the front in the upper section. I can't believe they went for $23!! - $46 for 2, as Lachrymologist pointed out ;) They were super serious (Soooper Serious!!) about no recording, much more so than I've seen at other shows, which made for a much more enjoyable experience. Front row rarely stood (you almost never see that) so we had a clear view the entire show. As usual, I love how they build the stage show from minimal to intense, with the lighting, lasers and video. Descending is fleshing out really well, getting better every time I've seen/heard it. The Pot was an excellent surprise. Maynard sounded excellent, if a little low in the mix at times. Sound started out a bit muddy but they dialed it in rapidly. Danny is a god, but what else is new? I took a couple of Live pics here and there, because I'm a rebel. Here's one.
