He was on Fallon not too long ago. It was good, not great. Love his guitar tone.

New Riverside album is OUT!! Listening to it now.
Edit: I highly recommend that all of you give it a listen, when you have the time! It's on Spotify and all other places. I personally really love it.

Completely agree. It is still a damn good album but a bit too much on the trumpet. It would make sense if they were going for a jazz aesthetic but that doesn't seem to be their primary goal with this album. Still a strong work though overall. I like when artists play around with genre and convention even if it doesn't come off perfectly.

Here's a new track from VHOL, the sorta weird, sorta thrashy band featuring Mike Scheidt of YOB.

Read my first review of the new album today at metalsucks and they raved about how good it is. I think this is going to be the album where they perfectly blend the crazy technical with the creative artistic. The Migration was almost there. Solid album but I felt like they could take it to another level. I preordered V so I have three of the tracks and they are superb.

This review from Metal Sucks is great: http://www.metalsucks.net/2015/08/31/re ... lack-book/

"If Mastodon and Muse had a baby in Denmark and never taught it how to run, that baby would be Black Book Lodge."

Looking forward to checking out the rest of the album as well:

well whether they're ready to take it to another level or not, their new drummer is flinging them into the abyss with his kick ass style. 4 and a half stars on metalsucks, is very impressive. they don't rate albums that high, especially instrumental albums. the new percussionist is really pushing them to scale the summit. ;)

new Le Butcherettes, 'A Raw Youth' is streaming in full, here:

http://noisey.vice.com/en_au/blog/le-bu ... -raw-youth

Some solid tunes here, with a few harkening back stylistically to the Bosnian Rainbows release from a couple years ago. It also includes cameos from Iggy Pop and John Frusciante

(Also, it's no secret I'm absolutely in love with Teri ... I would absolutely let her have her way with me if she wanted)
