Deluxe CD is probably my favorite with the vinyl coming in close second.

Sweet, thanks. Those are pretty cool, is that Finck in the middle of the vinyl cover?

I don't know maybe. It kinda looks like an old woman though, but it's hard to tell with half the face gone.

And that can't be Finck on the cover- Trent's already lost 2 musicians for the tour, can't afford to murder Robin.

anyone else not nearly as excited for this tour as before? the main reason i was so excited was him talking about how him and belew had some new way of presenting the music. now after that didnt work out as thought, and now its "more true to what nin is", i feel like it will be "just" another NIN show. Dont get me wrong it will be amazing im sure, but i dont think it will be as unique as it was supposed to be oringinally (and the reason trent supposedly wanted to hit the road again). I kinda feel hes doing one last NIN push before he gets too old

The first show of the festival tour starts in like 12 hours or some shit. Here's a decent read from the NYTimes:

Also live streaming of the Japan show:

I'm gonna try to stay away from it to avoid Lolla spoilers, otherwise enjoy. Or bitch and moan about it- whatever kids do these days.

Yeah Esch, I'm with ya. I'm still excited for the tour (and the new Halo), just... disappointed about Belew and Avery. I'll be watching the setlists leading up to The Prude show though, so as to alleviate any potential let downs.

Is it just me or does it sound like Trent has lost a bit of his vocal edge in those videos?

I'm staying away from YT clips and set lists for spoiler reasons, but I'm guessing it's not you.  Just like MJK he's no spring chicken- some vocalists can keep that "edge" and some can't (for whatever reason).

The '08 tour he got sick early and some of those performances were brutal during certain songs.  He was all good health wise for '09 but you could tell his vocals declined quite a bit.

He sounded like the old Trent on the softer song, but I agree he seemed not so sharp in the faster/harder songs.

Excuse:  Rust?  First NIN show in 5+ years.

Yeah, that's what I figured as well, and your analyisis meets mine - he's just not screaming as hard.  Rust is a reasonable excuse for now.

I think he'll be fine.  Trent has a voice that he knows how to use, rather than a great voice. Does that make sense?

Dude was never mid 90's to early 00's May Jay, in other words.
