Picked this up (the 2cd deluxe version) at a JB Hi Fi sale this afternoon.

It must be 15 years at least since I last heard this and it's all coming back to me. Dirty is Goo's messier, noisier younger brother. Many think this is the down point of their "rock" era - their "sellout, so to speak. I disagree. Dirty is way more inaccessible than many of the albums that came after it - especially Murray Street and Washing Machine, which are quite mellow and straight forward aesthetically. Far from being more "mainstream" (well compared to 80's Sonic Youth it is), I'm finding Dirty to be quite noisy and atonal in parts. Which is cool.

Kim's vocal grimacing is a bit much sometimes though.

Man, this sucks. That fake out at the beginning was pretty good, but damn this is pretty bad. I'm pretty sure they fucked up some of the chords in that main riff as well.
