Actually OM are touring in May, not sure where I saw those July dates - perhaps that was on old tour or something:

OM AUSTRALIAN TOUR MAY 2013

Tue 7th May Adelaide, Australia Jive
Wed 8th May Brisbane, Australia The Hi Fi
Thu 9th May Sydney, Australia Annandale Hotel
Fri 10th May Melbourne, Australia The Hi Fi
Sat 11th May Perth, Australia Rosemount Hotel

Same night as Sabbath here in Adelaide.  As I won't be seeing Sabbath this seems like a much better option. Also their venue of choice is excellent...

I post this with a heavy heart, know it may well drive Crow over the edge into suicide:

I have no idea how this event has gone completely under my radar, and is 2 weeks away.  Almost worth a trip to Melbourne for...

Update: Turns out the reason why no one has heard of it is because it was cancelled.  Ah well...

BORIS
Australian Tour June 2013
Following an outstanding response to their 2012 Australian tour, Japanese three-piece Boris will return to Sydney and Melbourne to play their classic cult album, FLOOD plus other popular tracks from their decorated career. Flood, the band’s third album, is essentially one single piece, explored and exploited throughout the album’s 70 minute duration.

Boris have earned a rabid cult following thanks to their uncanny ability to expertly blend a variety of genres into one cohesive and potent concoction of sounds. Be it psychedelic metal, colossal drone, blistering punk or distortion-ravaged shoegaze, a Boris song is an exploration of sound as a physical mass.

Formed in the early ’90s as a four piece with a sonic template of influences like Melvins and Earth. By the time of their 1996 debut as a trio, Boris had already hit its stride in creating unique ground-rattling heavy, melodic music. The group, bassist/vocalist Takeshi, guitarist/vocalist Wata and drummer/vocalist Atsuo went on to release more than 20 studio albums, as well as numerous collaborative albums — including projects with Merzbow, Sunn 0))), Ian Astbury and Michio Kurihara of Ghost – EPs and singles on various labels throughout the world.

Don’t miss your chance to witness Flood in all its mesmerizing glory.

Boris will also appear at DARK MOFO festival.

Presented by 2SER, Brag, Beat and Sludge Factory.

Trying to find some decent reviews on the Tool shows I attended & thinking I might have to get into gig reviews for employment. They're all fairly bland & don't do justice.. On another note, Jon Bon Fucking Jovi!! Yeehaaaa!!

not entirely sold or thrilled per say, but wanted to hit a gig while I was back and this seems the most reasonable for various reasons... really wanted to see DEP and AAL but I can't be fucked crossing the Canadien border and I'm not driving 6 hours (30 hours each way on a plane is enough sitting still for me).
