I'm going to listen to the rest of the recent nominations today.
^ Guess you missed that entirely ^

Fuck off
Nothing hypocritical about it. I listened to the whole album, and that is my review. My point was not every album needs to be nominated here, just the best. That Bong album was a long way from the best.

You trolled the thread by copying and pasting my review after not bothering to listen to the album I posted. There's a massive difference.

If that album was "generic grindcore" to you, then it's because you're either unfamiliar with the genre, or didn't actually listen to it.

Here are the rules for submission, just in case anyone has forgotten:

  • Music be available on Bandcamp (duh)
  • Music need not be free, but preferably all or most of the album must be available for streaming
  • To keep out the riff raff and grindcore, music nominated must be seconded by another Fourtheye reader
  • All genres and bands, new or old are welcome
The Kayo Dot album has nowhere near enough tracks available for it to be eligible in my opinion. I'd be happy to second it if it were eligible.

Nope, I suspect you're confused because you've purchased the album? If you haven't purchased it only 3 tracks are available to listen to, which is not adequate for this thread.

Confirmed.

Back on topic.... Kinda digging the music...

EDIT: Holy shit... the Cookie Monster vocals snuck up on me... yeccch. What a goddamn shame.

You KNOW that had I not struck preemptively you surely would have gotten in a lick or two. You can't really help yourself.

I prefer to get down and dirty and just take it all in at once ... licks are for children and amateurs

^ Shocker the Aussie contingent doesn't want to pay for an album. Of course I purchased the album. I have purchased every piece of music I own, which is quite an extensive library worth of music. I am sure you could find the rest of the tracks on Youtube. Sad shit when an album of that quality doesn't get nominated. Particularly after three long tracks from the album to sample.

@CAL - Fuck Hellboi, nominate the damn album....you of all people should know Kayo Dot should be on that list.

The point of the rule is not to avoid paying for the album. It's to let us listen to it in full prior to purchasing it. Not on Youtube or some other site - Bandcamp as suggested in the thread titile. Nomination denied.

Fuck your denial. The community chooses. If someone else seconds the album it makes the list.

The community is welcome to debate the rule, and to second the album. So far neither has happened.

Too heavy? I'm not sure you've been paying attention to this thread...

Sounds good so far, but I'll reserve my seconding until I've finished the album.

Update: Ultimately I found it a little forgettable. No second from me...

I would go see this band, they would be a good opener. What a relief there were no shitty vocals to ruin it! Seconded.

EDIT: You couldn't drag me to see Alaskan. I will never get that vocal style. Yeeeeccccchhhhhhh!!!!
