I watch bands in my age bracket much of the time. Many of the great touring artists in the world today are around my age whopper snapper.
If there is one thing I know about Tyson it's that he loves snapping whoppers.

The Reawakening of Team Sleep

I'm pretty excited about the new stuff. I've had their demos on heavy rotation for the past couple months.

A chunk of those demos are better than what eventually made it onto the record or at least I've always thought so

- You like noisy music?
- Yes. The louder the better. Stops me from thinking.
- You don't like to think? What do you like?
- Never thought about it.

Speaking of Scott O))) here's a rather fascinating and insightful (not to mention long) Quietus interview with Scott Walker regarding the Soused collaboration:

I hope I'm that "cool" at 70...

Turns out Scott Walker is not who I thought he was (for some reason I had it in my head it was the dude from Neurosis who is in fact Scott Kelly), which is why the album sounds nothing like I expect. I'm sure there are some who enjoyed the album, but for me I doubt I'll ever listen to it again.

Metallica are releasing remastered deluxe versions of Kill 'em All and Ride The Lightning. Can't wait to hear For Whom The Bell Tolls with that excellent production that modern Metallica is known for.

I was gonna make a smart ass remark but then I realized I have no clue who they are. For some reason I read that and my brain heard "Monster Magnet".

So carry on.

Fear Factory is an industrial death metal band. Monster Magnet is a band that I'm not real familiar with. I think they might have released that cool video a few weeks ago.

I only really know one monster magnet song and it is terrible. I think they opened for Marilyn Manson one tour.

I don't even remember what the music was like in that video. I think it might've been an acoustic song or something. It was so forgettable I had forgotten it before the video had even ended.

You have no idea who Fear Factory are? Have you even listened to metal in the last 20 years?

Here's a video for "Inanimate", one of my favorite tracks off Abysmal Dawn's new album Obsolescence.
