"Sometimes the lyrics come first but mostly the music is talking to you about how it wants to be, and then the lyrics are born out of that. It's a strange phenomenon, but I love doing it," he says
David Lynch says he felt "more confident" making his second solo album, "The Big Dream," which comes out July 16.Â

04 Cold Wind Blowin
05 The Ballad of Hollis Brown (Bob Dylan cover)
06 Wishin' Well
07 Say It
08 We Rolled Together

11 The Line It Curves
12 Are You Sure
13 I'm Waiting Here [ft. Lykke Li] (bonus track)
Saw them at the Entertainment Center in Sydney many, many, years ago. The sound, as usual in that place, was awful - but they put on a great show. It was the "100th WINDOW" tour.
I was so stoked when he got cleared of all of those, uh, charges and accusations. I had to stop listening to MASSIVE ATTACK until I found, conclusively, that he was in the clear.
That was a good moment for me.

New album and tour from The Aristocrats -Â guitarist Guthrie Govan, bassist Bryan Beller, and drummer Marco Minnemann
Saw them perform most of the new album live earlier this year and it's smoking. Â If you're nearby any of these venues, definitely check them out live - amazingly good.
There’s going to be a Deluxe Edition, with a Bonus DVD called Accept The Mystery: The Making Of The Aristoctrats’ “Culture Clashâ€. That will include studio footage and exclusive interviews with each member of the band.
It all comes out on July 16. Between now and then, we’ll be releasing previews of audio and video right here on this website, on our Facebook Page, as well as other media outlets. You might want to follow us on Twitter as well at @acratsband.
There will be a presale soon. There will be new t-shirts soon. It will all be available at our webstore very soon, and if you stay tuned you’ll be the first to know.
And if you’re in America, there will be a tour to promote it this summer! (Don’t worry, Europe and South America – we’ll get to you next year.) These are the final, official dates for the Culture Clash U.S. Summer tour:

Hey man, nice to see you here. Â Well, YouTube them to get a feel. Â You will quickly see that they don't necessarily have much in common with what Steven Wilson is doing. Â However, I am really into them and I think most people who see them live would agree that they put on a really really good show. Â Even if you don't typically dig instrumental jazz/fusion, whatever label you want to apply. Â It's just good music. Â If you go, please post a review.

Dream Theater take you inside the making of their self-titled album, due out September 24.
I'll check it out, but will be blown away if I can stomach it. Â DT is the worst of prog "metal" pomposity.

Saw them on the Mezzanine tour in May of '98. It was decent enough but nothing stellar. For me personally they are more successful as a studio project and not a live experience.
I went completely off them for about ten years. Didn't listen to them at all from about 2000 right up until the end of 2010 when - on a whim - I bought the Heligoland triple lp / cd deal. Loved it and it renewed my interest in these guys.
Looking forward to the new album next year, but I won't hold my breath. MA are like Tool in that they will bullshit for months, if not years, about a new release and then......nothing. Eventually - begrudgingly - they will admit to a hold up in development.
I wonder if the three tracks they recorded with Mike Patton will show up on the new one? Hope so....think he will suit them.
It's been three and a half years since Heligoland. So probably another eighteen months or so til the next....?

Dream Theater is what you'd get if Bryan Adams fronted Queensryche and started doing Yes covers.
And yes...that does mean they suck.
