Sounds like Frontier Touring will be dropping some Aussie related FNM news next week:

Yeah, I really hope so. I'll see FNM at whatever format is on offer, but given we've had a couple of festival runs it'd be much nicer to see them do their own thing

As in given they've announced this in February we can rule out festival appearances at places such as download etc. Also given that frontier touring are announcing it, adds further weight to it being their own tour (at least in my head).

Tl;dr- sideshow was a dumbarse phrase to use in hindsight. Meant looks very likely to be own shows.

That it's announced by Frontier is an almost sure sign it'll be a tour rather than festivals.

Sounds like they will be announcing some kind of festival date on Monday though, with a bunch of bands sharing this poster (reportedly SOAD, Korn, Helmet and others). I don't expect a lineup like this is coming to Oz any time soon, so I figure some US shows are also coming.

Lovely. I am always impressed by the big bands that do all cities. Respect!

Unlike others who shall remain nameless...

Darn it, wish it went for sale after the Tool gig to see if my seat experiment works at Qudos.

Meh fuck it, I'm old, give me a seat.

Yep, not much room in that schedule for extra shows - as I doubt FNM want to do so many nights on the trot. I suspect Melbourne and Sydney should both comfortably sell out.

Turns out the FNM gigs are their first headline shows in Australia for 23 years.

I always said I was waiting for a headline tour!

Yeah, interesting to see that the new Mr Bungle is basically just a thrash band. I guess not a shock given the members. It sounded fun enough, but not sure it's really Mr Bungle. Who am I to say though?
