I dunno, just the mix didn't really do much for me. It's a decent track, but I'd certainly rate it in the lower half of FNM's catalog. Hopefully it's just the first thing they wrote/recorded after reuniting and the remainder of the album is of a better quality.

That was one of my first thoughts when I heard the track, and checking the live version it does indeed suggest that Roddy does a lot of the "spoken" vocals on the track.

Yeah. Apparently it definitely IS Roddy.

And blow me over if this tasty little track hasn't been stuck in my head all weekend. Creeps up on you like all good tracks eventually will.
Bring on April I say....

"stuck in my head all weekend" for SURE. I've been blasting it in the shower, the car. you know, places where I can pretend to sing like no ones listening lol. I love the little solo at the end too. throwback track for sure, if this was an unreleased jam from 1996, 97 I would believe it.

The song was fun and their singles are usually shit. Is Epic the best song on "The Real Thing"? Is Midlife Crisis the best song on "Angel Dust"? Is "Digging the Grave" the best song on "KFAD"? No.

if you're into seeing FNM live maybe be near your computer tomorrow PST at 10am. just sayin. big hug.
SOme kind of live stream from the studio perhaps? Either way I'll be in bed, so hopefully someone records it (if it's worthwhile of course).

Was hoping Motherfucker was going to be intro to the album seeing as it's not really much of a song that goes anywhere.. Hopefully the album doesn't disappoint coz I'm most looking forward to this sucker, albeit with lowish expectations.

they figured we waited so long and probably wanted to put the album out a little sooner, unlike Tool who will take another 3-4 months putting together a toy box that no one gives a fuck about. right now Adam Jones and DC are using chicken blood and sacred geometry to fuse Etch-A-Sketch wheels to their album cover so you can put a cock right next to the "Parental Advisory" sticker.
