Unlocking the Truth is a young metal band from Brooklyn, New York, who write and create their own lyrics and music.

In March of 2012, Unlocking the Truth competed on Amateur Night at the Apollo Theater (aka Tears of Blood) and made it to the Show-Off Round, and afterward they began performing at festivals around New York City and in Times Square.

They also played the main stage at Coachella 2014 and will be opening for QOTSA.

Cool, I remember reading about this band last year.

Truth Unlocked

i just saw them open for GNR. i wanted to like them just because they were three 13 yo black kids playing real instruments. but i thought they sucked mostly really. even for 13

Yeah, I wasn't too impressed with what I saw in those videos.

They might be something great in the future, but right now they're just a couple of young black kids playing metal.

zero. i meant even taking that into consideration, i thought they sucked. still give them props for making music though. could be worse

Well then perhaps you should keep educate yourself. The band is crap compared to "adult" bands, but certainly aren't compared to 13 year olds. I don't think they will go on to do anything of note though, except go broke with a shitty Sony record deal.
