I want to know if there's anyone who doesn't "belong".

That's incredibly conceited of you.

Knowing your politics, however, it totally makes sense.

It's called becoming an adult, you'll get there one day champ.
Band t shirt and jeans is the default.

Kind of always was for me, regardless of age.
I avoid band tees at concerts as best as possible (meaning they are usually not at the top of the clean laundry heap) especially one for the act(s) on stage ... "ooh, a NIN tee at a NIN show ... so who'd you come out to see tonight"?

I wore my NIRVANA t shirt to MELMET. I like to at least keep it in the genre or time period.

I almost always wear band shirts to gigs, though usually (but not always) I try to avoid the band that is playing that night.

Yeah generally I wear my old aenima promo tee...except to tool gigs. Seems to 'spark up' a good convo.

Also I’m not generally one to crowd watch either, but it's hard not to take note that everyone is completely still and have a distant look on their face…it’s like they're somewhere between realising that what they just did was more than a fart and confused as to why they just used ‘that’ filter on their selfie?

The "rule" is any band shirt (that you like) is fine as long as it's not the band playing.

For example: I will usually wear a Tool shirt to a NIN show and vice versa.

I wore a Pere Ubu tee to a Pere Ubu gig once.

Got a lot of funny looks.

Every time I see a guy wearing a Nirvana tee I just roll my eyes.

The worst t shirts were those "Slayer Is The Root Of All Evil" tees.

OMG I was like so rolling my eyes back then, LOL.
