Not really stoked for this and I really enjoyed TFA, Rogue One, and TLJ very much. This just makes me sad because I love Harrison Ford’s Han Solo so much and we already know what happens to an older Han. Why do we want to watch a movie on guy that we already know his destiny. Not much suspense when we already know the out come of his last 20-40 years. Now this kind of defeats my argument(I am really good at that), but I would have much rather had a Darth Vader stand alone movie about him hiring bounty hunters and himself taking out all the Jedi and have it ending at the beginning of Rogue One. Like the bad ass end of Rogue One going right into the beginning of ANH. I of course will be seeing Solo in the theaters but don’t think I will really enjoy the film.

That sounds like it'd be a really dark movie, but very cool indeed.

Trailer looks pretty forgettable. Solo is the movie no one asked for.

Yeah remove the star wars logo and looks like an average to possibly decent sci movie. It will likely be much like Rogue one and Last Jedi for me in that takes a while to get going with a fairly forgettable first hour and then comes home with a solid final 45 minutes or so.

This is good and all, but the Star Wars movie scene is starting to get pretty over saturated. I'd rather this was a TV show or something. Would be perfect for Disney's Netflix equivalent they keep talking about.

Trailer for Solo

Not quite sure how to feel about this one yet. The trailer looks pretty good in some parts, pretty average in others.

^Looks fun. Good time for a break from the gloomy and "serious" Star Wars.

I'm more excited about it now than after the initial trailer that came out. I expect it to have some issues but after the disappointment that was last jedi, hopefully it will be enough for us all to enjoy

I barely saw Last Jedi today, what is the problem that people have with it? Maybe it’s cause I’m not a hardcore fan or anywhere near it but I thought it was pretty good.

People can dislike The Last Jedi, but most of the ones that post about it and whine about it being terrible are just whiney fanboy cunts.

I really liked it and saw it twice in the theater. Even went to Disneyland and rode Star Tours and they included the worlds from TLJ and I was giddy as a school girl.

Wouldn't going to Disneyland and riding star tours whilst getting giddy as a school girl constitute as being a fanboy?

Maybe it was a hype thing. I didn't dislike it due to others reasoning, eg I like what they did with Luke, made sense to me:

Dislikes: Princess leia impersonating Mary Poppins.
The whole slow motion chase that lasts the whole movie
Finns entire storyline & forced love triangle with Rose

Just the whole tone of the movie for me just lacked a bit of spark. I was very hyped for the movie though so probably has as much to do with my high expectations as it does the movie itself.

As with everything Star Wars after The Phantom Menace, I watched The Last Jedi for free and wasn't impressed.

Where the fuck is the adventure, the awe, the Star Wars?

Rouge One was cool though.

Perhaps a bit obscure, but whenever I see Donald Glover in his Lando outfit I can't help but think of Theo Huxtable and his yellow shirt.

It was lost in a sea of political correctness.

I don't think political correctness is to blame, just shitty storywriting.

Checked out Solo. Pretty much as expected, didnt love it, didnt hate it. The spin offs are definitely more for the big kids which is good but can't see this one going down as anything more than a decent enough effort that did enough to not get slammed by the fan base.

I'm going to check it out tonight. Most RL friends I've spoken to who've seen it seem to think it's good, nice array of fan service and surprise appearances. I'll post some thoughts after I see it.

Yeh plenty of fan service don't get me wrong I enjoyed it , just didn't walk out blown away by it like rogue one. I'd almost say Solo is better than RO as a whole but that last 45 mins in Rogue one is hard to compete with. Lando was really well done.

If I had to go all Mog on it with a rating I'd give it a 3.5 outta 5

I think 7/10 seems like a decent rating. I would say I enjoyed it more than I thought I would based on the trailer, though it's nothing earth shattering as well. I thought the ending felt a bit forced to make Han seem like this super good guy though, but I couldn't say I was surprised at this.

I'm still not sure why:
► Show Spoiler
Also, it needed more Jabba the Hutt
