The house that Jack built: Lars von Trier wrote an edgy serial killer script and then spent 2 years drunkenly reading Wikipedia articles and hamfisting them into the story

I just finished up The Orville and critics be damned I fucking loved it. Has that old school Star Trek vibe with Seth McFarlane humor and it just works. Season two starts in January really looking forward to it.

Recently watched Star Trek Discovery and it had potential at first but went off the rails towards the end of the season. The story fell apart as the season progressed but I do think they have a framework that they can build on. Season two also starts in January.

Jumping into Westworld next should be interesting.

Checked out Valerian and The City of A Thousand Planets. It was a fun movie. I think if you liked The Fifth Element you'd probably dig it. Fun, eccentric, goofy, and also kind of dumb and overly sincere at points.

I don't know. He did a very good Keanu Reeves impression throughout.

Watched Struggle: The Life and Lost Art of Szukalski which is a documentary on Netflix about the Polish artist. The doco feature a short interview with Adam Jones - the astute among you may recognise that the statute The Struggle is featured in his portrait in the 10,000 Days liner notes (I assume a replica).

It was a pretty interesting film - Szukalski is quite the character, and his artwork quite fascinating.

John is a Vietnam Green Beret Vet, Half Commando, Half Ninja, whose daughter has been abducted by a secret Ninja Organization, led by a Central-American dictator, who wants to create a new-world order... through time...

COMMANDO NINJA is an 80's action comedy, tribute to the Action Hero Movies, written and directed by Benjamin Combes.

Westworld is just too damn good why in the hell did it take me so long to get around to watching it. Oh and I picked up the complete Babylon 5 set. I forgot how dope that show was. Just a damn shame no proper remaster has been done man it looks like shit. An interesting article or two out there about the backstory on how it ended up this way when it was brought to DVD. I bought it digitally and it can be jarring at times. Still it is passable and such a fantastic series definitely worth the purchase.

Nicholas Cage & Selma Blair?

You sold me

Edit: It was ok, when Cage shines he shines and I liked the nod to us humans being planned obsolescence.

Just watched Black Mirror: Bandersnatch. Was good fun. For those not aware, it's like a choose your own adventure thing on Netflix.

The story itself wasn't super exciting or anything, but the concept was a cool one, and the changes between descisions pretty seamless. It's worth checking it out more for that, then what is being told.

Well, they can't allow for ever eventuality I guess. It's a crucial part of the story.

Finished up Jack Ryan and it was outstanding. John Krasinski absolutely nailed the role. Fantastic

Currently watching The Man in the High Castle. Really enjoying it. Gotta give Amazon props they are releasing some damn good originals.

The Orville Season 2 has been great so far which I expected. Star Trek Discovery season 2 starts tonight and I am hoping they get back on course with where they were earlier in Season 1 as the second half of season 1 wasn't particularly good at all.

I've been watching Titans on Netflix, and it been quite ok so far. It's somewhat predictable though, and ain't going to win any awards, but it's not bad.

I didn't really mind that it went of the rails a bit at the end. It was certainly a much more interesting plot, even if parts of it were quite absurd, than I felt it was heading towards at the beginning of the season. Looking forward to where season 2 goes.

The new Dragon Ball movie was wildfire. It had plenty of flaws, but the tension build up was god tier. They made some interesting choices with the music too that are kind of divisive, but I thought it was awesome. Surreal even. Go see this movie.
