Just watched the Hobbit.

TBH, it was fucking boring for the first hour and a half. Then it got pretty interesting. As usual, the end came and I was like "fuck whats next?" Fucking Peter Jackson.

I just watched "BEGOTTEN", and, while I am prone to exaggeration, I sincerely feel that I am changed as a person for having seen it.

I want to watch it every day for the rest of my life.

I suggest no one ever sees it - but I want everyone to watch it.

Please don't read up on it if you plan on watching it. Just watch it.

Absolutely beautiful, yet a violent reminder of how delicate life is.

caught some 'taboo' show on nat geo or one of those channels the other day...

Not surprisingly, this portion of the program resided in SF... what say you Kittaan... which one were you?

Say what?  Not having a TV I don't usually frequent this thread.  Imagine my surprise...  and btw, fuck off the both of ye.

@ Crow - Tried to add Begotten to the Netflix queue.  It's not available, and since it was made in 1990 I doubt it will be.  I'll try to find it by other means.  I'll let you know.  Didn't read anything about it, but saw it's Experimental Horror?  Not usually my wheelhouse, but I'll give it a shot out of curiosity.

The only "horrific" part is at the beginning. The rest is just disturbing.

Really fucking awesome.

I've seen every Darren Aronofsky movie except "Pi", how does that stack up with the rest of his catalog?

Not his best film, but it is good and definitely worth watching.

if you want to watch something funny, informative, (very) original, and entertaining, please take 90 minutes and watch this.

Inside The Actors Studio, 200th episode. Interviewee is James Lipton, interviewer is none other than Dave Chappelle.

^ Hell fucking yeah.  Dave and James are actually friends.  Did you watch the first time Dave was on when he got back from Africa?

yeah, that was one of the best interviews ever. James could have had Bill Clinton interview him for the 200th and he chose Dave Chappelle, awesome. I like the one with Jennifer Jason Leigh, she's a nut job. I've had a crush on her since puberty. still no Daniel Day Lewis, right? he has an open invite

Finishing "ENTOURAGE" tonight, then probably going back in time to the Sylvester McCoy era of "DR WHO".

I'm not fucking around. You read that right.

@ Mog & NY - Chappelle has recently been doing gigs here in the Bay Area at relatively small clubs, usually late night, last minute announced gigs that sell out immediately (no shit).  So far, I have been just a little too late to the game to get a ticket.  Still trying because I haven't seen him live in years.  Amazing performer.

Has anybody else checked out the Game of Thrones Season 3 opener?  Disappointed as I was?  It's still decent, but I was expecting a bit more with last season's cliff hangers.  Hopefully they're just suffering from too much to get into one ep, and they'll pull it together. Snagging these eps as I have no TV, and this is pretty much the only current TV I'm watching, so this hurts.  Also, why won't that lazy fat fucker get off his ass and put out the next book?  I started reading this right after the first book came out in paperback and I've NEVER experienced waiting this long between books.  I swear he's the Tool of the literary world.

Regarding Dave Chappelle, from what I've read there's been talk of him and Chris Rock doing a stand-up tour together.  I don't think anything's definite but it seems like with more and more of these last-minute shows Dave's doing recently a Dave/Chris tour is becoming more of a possibility.

Entourage? what do you have queued on Netflix next? Sex And The City along with a compilation of Axe Body Spray commercials?
