Unbreakable is fantastic. Everything else is pretty meh.

I agree.  Raging on Tarantino and Smith seems stupid, when both of their work is better than half the shit out there.  They both have a few stinkers, but compare to most of the shit hollywood puts out, it's really no big deal.

two week movie rundown:

 

Danny Boyle's new flick "Trance" was excellent. any movie where Rosario Dawson's full shaved frontal nudity is a major plot line is cool in my book.

 

also watched "Only God Forgives" which was very good. Refn is paying homage to Lynch and Kubrick big time.

 

next in the que is "The Emperor", Tommy Lee Jones as General MacArthur.

 

also saw three very good documentaries I recommend "Hitler's Children", "Gasland 2" and "A Band Called Death".

 

took my girl to the movies to see Despicable Me 2 which was I have to admit very entertaining, especially in 3D.

Sadly this is how I have to post because iOS and this forum hate each other. 

Sharknado was awesome!  It had the curly headed fuck from 90210 and that idiot with the crooked ass fake titties.  A movie so bad its good.

Other than the 10 seconds they showed during the Super Bowl I managed to avoid any and all trailers for Iron Man 3 so I was able to watch it with almost 0 spoilers.

 

Other than the first second or two when it comes on during commercials I've managed to avoid any "The Wolverine" trailers and I only have a few more days to go.  Almost there!

 

(Please save any it's gonna suck/be good/awesome/lame comments to yourself because it won't make a difference.  Watching it this weekend no matter what.  Let's hope it'll be the Wolverine movie a lot of us have been waiting for.  Wolverine, Japan, Ninjas....they can't mess that up, right?  Right?!)

Looks ok.  It concerns me that with the ease of using CGI these days that most fantasy action type movies look largely the same.

^ 100% Ripoff of the Matrix.  In fact, I can barely tell them apart.  There are at least two similarities!  Plus, they're both movies, and have good and evil themes!

 

But seriously - I'll rent it.
