I have no problem if we consider each other to be stupid useless cunts who are worth no better than a kick to the groin - but let's not get into "death" territory, yeah?

This forum still has some decorum, surely.
are you critiquing my comedy? that was obviously a Robin Williams joke. too soon?

Lol it's funny because you told him to kill himself and Robin Williams killed himself 2 days ago.

I'd rather it was an insult because geez, if that was suppose to be funny . . .

Back on topic. I finished watching INdie Game: The Movie the other day. Excellent doco - well worth watching for anyone who enjoys gaming or human nature.

Yeah I'm giving Guardians a high 6 or low 7.

"Villain" was a cardboard cutout. Made me cringe every time he said something. Pretty useless and no real discernible motive; other than "he's the villain and all".

Other than that - fairly enjoyable tosh with some nice cgi and a chemistry between the lead characters that is sadly lacking in blockbuster films these days.

Whatsisface was decent as Peter Quill, but they upped the ante on the "lovable rogue" angle a little too much at times. The "cutesy" dancing both in the opening scene and the climax at the end was unnecessary. We get it - he's from the 1980's and likes 1980's music. No need to rub it in my race.

Oh and John C. Reilly was hideously miscast - good job he's not in it much.

Talking Raccoon and Tree Thing stole the show.

Their names are Rocket and Groot.

I'll forgive you because it's barely mentioned. :?

By the way - what is the difference between "The Movie Thread" and the "What are you watching Film/TV" thread?

Aren't they the same thing??

To my understanding, one is for the discussion of movies in general, and the other for telling us what you've just watched on TV or at the movies. Quite often they mix because people are too lazy to find the right one, and I'm too lazy to move the posts across.

One is for movie news and related discussion and the other is for discussion of recently watched movies or shows.

Please don't combine the two, Bellboi. :?

A merger isn't on the cards at the moment.

Funnily enough Califum started this thread, so he should have some idea what it's for...

My favorite part of that is that Superman would've totally been able to save that dog without noticeably using his powers.

And why is everybody always leaving their dog in the car when they're fleeing disaster? It's a real dick move.

Because they expect their dog to be as quick as the one in Independance Day?

Just saw GOTG a couple nights ago. Awesome flick, definitely best "Marvel" movie up to this point. Def looking toward to the sequel. That's two good movies in a row for me at the movies.

The more I think about that movie, the less I think I liked it.

The humour was extremely forced, and the whole plot was pretty fucking stupid, even for a comic book movie.

I enjoyed it at the time, but I doubt I'd watch it again. I feel that way about pretty much all Marvel movies.

DC for life, bitches.
