Kit, Woody Allen once said that no comedy film should be longer than 90 minutes. I somewhat agree. There's probably something about comedy being more concise and drama being dragged out. Say what you want about Woody, but I'd say the one flaw of all the Broken Lizard films is that they're 30 minutes too long. Louie, however, has been great at blending in the dramatic element. Maybe the studio execs think comedy should be shorter and gave him the half hour slot when they should maybe adjust to make the multi-part episodes whole?
