I really love FI. But a clean version of Descending may end up better

Yeah tough question. I think the studio quality will change my opinions a little too. I don't think any recording did descending proper justice, especially for Justin's bass line which does repeat alot in the first 6 minutes or so.

So I've been on team invincible since they came out but I think the recording might have something to do with that.

Basically descending to me sounds the most familiar of the three and could slot onto Lateralus the easiest. Where as invincible and FI both sound more like something they haven't done before. I don't think any of them are substandard so they all have exceeded expectations making this album shape up to be a ripper.

Descending is my fav. FI second and Inv third. Close race for all.

Right now I see FI creeping in my top 10 but once the studio versions of Invincible and Descending drop I may need to realign my top 3.

As soon as there will be a regular CD release, order of the "lim. ed." will be cancelled ;-)

Let's hope...

Just a heads up for anyone ordering from amazon.com to Germany (I'm not sure if the same applies to other EU countries) - we might have to pay the VAT (MWSt) of 19% on top of the order at the customs office. The VAT applies to orders with a merchandise value between 22 and 150 EUR. I just did the math, it's still cheaper than buying from a European store, but I'll probably have to get the delivery from the customs office in a different part of town.

I forgot to menton that this song reminds me a lot of Kyuss, especially Adam's parts and sound.
I know the pieces fit, I studied the numbers in Southern France.

greasy wrote: Sun Aug 11, 2019 1:56 pm Looks like amazon may have oversold the preorders on the limited edition. I ordered 2 right when they went on sale, and got an email confirmation the same day for my order for 2 CDs. Then I received another email yesterday stating my order was scheduled for delivery on the 30th......but only for 1 of my orders. The other order is still pending. A friend of mine who preordered later in the day received no email yesterday. Anyone else seeing the same?
Got the 2nd email last night. Both orders scheduled for delivery on the 30th. :D :D :D

I really think reddit is just being reddit over the amazon preorders thing. It is very typical for popular items to become unavailable for preorder and for delivery dates to fluctuate. Typically once they finalize their inventory stream it goes back up. Unless Nintendo is manufacturing this box, then it's already out of print.

I wouldn't call that a crescendo. Again, it's all mid-range stuff, and MJK's delivery is super relaxed. It's quite reigned in, doesn't really open up.

For comparison of the type of thing I'm talking about, the end of Pushit ("there's no love in fear... staring down the hole again..."), Rosetta ("Overwhelmed as one would be..."), Reflection (Adams solo and MJK then joining in "Before we pine away").
Danny wrote: Sun Aug 11, 2019 5:55 pm I didn’t listen to Invincible and Descending, i have a question for those of you who did, which track is your favorite out of the 3?
I'd probably go:
Invincible
Descending
FI

Though I have heard the first 2 tracks a lot more, over a period of months, rather than just a few days for FI. (And I really like FI, for the record)
