It's the list you guys have been waiting for. Needless to say none of you cunts have or will listen to any of these, but that's more a sign of your terrible taste in music than anything else. Have some fun and embrace the blastbeats:
  1. Call of the Void - Dragged Down a Dead End Path Will be pretty close to being my album of 2013.
  2. Weekend Nachos - Still Fast becoming one of the best bands on the grind/power violence scene. Cool name as well.
  3. Chiens - Vultures Are Our Future Dirty DIY Powerviolence. Fast as fuck with drumming that will blow your mind.
  4. Antigama - Meteor Metallic grind from outer space
  5. CAGE - Pilots If you love Nick Cage, you'll love this album.
  6. Dead In The Dirt - The Blind Hole Straight Edge Vegan Grind from Atlanta. Best enjoyed with a steak and beer.
  7. Sex Prisoner - State Property EP Sex Prisoner will make you feel like you've done two years in the slammer.
  8. Left In Ruins - Ghost Probably the punkiest on the list. Italian power violence that sounds like Trash Talk before they became played out
  9. Hollow Tongue - Godsnakes Crusty sludge grind from Albuquerque
  10. NO FEALTY - In the Shadow of the Monolith God eating a baby on the cover? This is grind
Also, kudos to Carcass for releasing an album that didn't suck. Didn't think it was quite grindy enough to make the list though.

This Call of the Void album is pretty awesome, wouldn't call it grind or power violence though.

Ravenpig, you really need to work on your proofreading. You keep mixing up your B's and D's.

Well, they seem to call themselves a blend of "hardcore, sludge, powerviolence, crust and grind" on Bandcamp, which is good enough for me.

I love Carcass. I love them like I would love a lonely boy at a summer camp.

I could tell it wasn't grindcore because none of the songs were less than a minute long.

So did you listen to any of these then? Very interested to hear what others favorite grind releases for 2013 were...

In fact I like your recommendations in general. I may not like many of them, but they're never boring.

I'm not sure why you don't see it as powerviolence or grind to be honest? It contains elements of both.

Nails could really be added to this list as well - they're pretty grindy in parts.

I like this kind of thing but I'm pretty "old school" and don't really check much in the way of new grind/power violence. There's a band called Man Is The Bastard that you should check out. I like them. Endless Blockade are good too.

Even though they're not specifically related to those two genres pre se, there's a noise rock act called Skullflower who are worthy of yr attention. They have been around for ages. They mix aspects of noise/power violence/ sludge/ ambient/black metal into an unholy mess. I love them but if you don't "get that sort of thing they will sorely test yr patience.

Highly recommended.

Ramleh are good too.

Good. I also recommend you watch the following films:

Caddyshack 2
Yentel
Who's Harry Crumb?
Silent Night, Deadly Night
Music Of The Heart
A Midsummer Night's Sex Comedy
