hellboy wrote:I think 7/10 seems like a decent rating. I would say I enjoyed it more than I thought I would based on the trailer, though it's nothing earth shattering as well. I thought the ending felt a bit forced to make Han seem like this super good guy though, but I couldn't say I was surprised at this.
I'm still not sure why:
► Show Spoiler
Darth Maul is in the movie though, since I figured he'd died in the Phantom Menace. How does one recover from being sliced in half?
Also, it needed more Jabba the Hutt
That's it isn't it. It's better than expected but just seems to lack that knock blow to make it great. I too was confused by said spoiler you mentioned but the internet helped me out on that one afterwards.
As to the jabba it came across to me like they're trying to build for a sequel and that's exactly where its headed
Although only a small part of the film, Enfys Nest and the Marauders were cool.
So far I'm enjoying the Star Wars story films more than the new episodes, and I'm definitely interested to see what comes next: Boba Fett, Obi-Wan, or something else entirely.
I wouldn't go that far. For all their flaws I enjoyed both The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi over the two stories.
Then again, neither of the two stories are really ones that interest me. That said Obi-wan with Ewan McGregor sounds awesome, as does a James Mangold directed Boba Fett.
To be fair, it's complete nostalgia at work on me...this I know. Rogue One and Solo feel more like the original trilogy films (aesthetically speaking) than any of the other releases so far.
The new episodes (The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi) feel like someone trying to make a STAR WARS movie, whereas the new Story films (Rogue One and Solo) feel like someone trying to make a movie in the Star Wars universe. I just prefer the latter at this point.
ah, i didnt know there was a SW thread around here. i was just mentioning SW Celebration 2019 a couple days ago in a diff thread here. watch some of the panels on youtube if you havent/if you have the urge.
The Mandalorian tv show and The Clone Wars cartoon coming back are the most promising things, imo. Dave Filoni is one of the best things SW has these days for sure. that dude gets it more then anyone. Jon Favrea seems cool too and is no stranger to SW. i get the feeling this Mando tv show is going to be similar in style and awesomeness to how Rogue One turned out.
i have hopes for Ep IX but the sequel trilogy is kind of a mess but im still stoked to see how they wrap this up. Plus its the end of the Skywalker story so thats kind of heavy and sad and stuff.

So I guess that given the title of SWIX is Rise of Skywalker, either Rey is a Skywalker, or Kylo Ren wins?
They seem like the obvious answers which given the obssessive fan base, they surely wouldn't make it that easy for people to speculate on? I assumed if anything it's more a reference to Luke coming back as a Jedi guiding light type thing. Rising from his hideout so to speak
