They were up for maybe a day then got taken off because they weren’t official. I am starting to think this was a very good fake and somebody got some quick money from us. We will never know because they haven’t even announced the album coming out on their goddamn official website
Dude, they announced the album at live shows. What more can you ask for?

Man, it is almost as if they could have released information about their marketing strategy for their digital products and informed their fan base so people didn't waste money on fraudulent products... naaaah
Anyone here been caught it buying fraudulent copies of the new album?

I still have the FLAC files downloaded via torrents years ago, so I don't give a fuck about all this google shit.

Same haha. Would be nice to get a remastered version though. I'd be surprised for them to bother with re-eleasing the demo. This one seems to be a fake, but maybe it was a test and they are planning on putting up the real one soon, with the correct track lengths.

Surprised nothing has been mentioned from the band that the demo digital release was in fact not official. Someone got a quick few bucks on some die hards.

Brisbane, January 24, 2011

San Diego, January 10, 2016

Lisbon, July 2, 2019

Sydney, May 3, 2013

Brisbane, April 22, 2002

Both Brisbane shows I've seen have been fantastic. Maybe it's just a coincidence or luck (I missed their 2013 gig there). I'm not sure which gig is the best but Brisbane 2011 is definitely top 2 or 3 no matter how i judge it (I really think Third Eye is their best opening song for a show) so I should probably just rank it number 1 overall.
I remember Intension sounding absolutely flawless that night.

2001 & 2002 both shows in Sydney will always be my favourites and flood into the grudge was the greatest opening combo I've ever seen from a band .. ever. But yeh that 2011 Brisbane show was pretty killer. I remember someone posting on here that Adams partner was apparently claiming that it was one of the best shows she's ever seen them play

I hope you guys get an early 2020 tour. I know it's been a while. They seem to enjoy Australia during our Winter months/ your Summer months.

Sydney, April 24, 2002:

Flood into The Grudge... we got the same thing two nights earlier in Brisbane.

I'm just so glad this clip lives on in YouTube.

We are fabulous in crowds Bill. All the bands tell us so. :)

Yeah man I only discovered this about 18 months ago, made my day. Took me back to the night remembering bits of pieces 15 years later.

@Billy, cheers fella I'm half expecting them to headline download next year. They seem the obvious choice.

The Tuva intro on the Lateralus tours when the sawblade and eye lit up on the screens before Flood was rad. Great to hear again. Good memories.

So with all the great live clips and set lists of tours past, what is the set list of your first tool show?

My first tool show...

either they got hacked and dont want to say or they dont want to say cause they messed up. or they could just say what happened and we wouldnt be left in the dark as usual and u wouldnt have to read this b.s in the first place.

not a very good start to their streaming services.

Wow! That Flood into The Grudge transition is pretty nasty! Split second from one to the other, was it that seamless live if so very impressive? I saw Flood a couple times during the 07’- 09’ stretch.

Yeah it was straight into it as you hear on the recording. Absolutely killer opening combo!

As to first setlist. Was 2001.

Brisbane 2011 was epic and fucking HEAVY. They were on a mission that night. Heaviest mix I've heard from them or perhaps just my seat location but it was incredible. My now wife's first and last Tool show, had a spare ticket so forced her to go, she hated it hahaha (yes still married her). Saw the same set in Melbourne a week later at the music bowl and it had a completely different feel, still fantastic, great venue up close.

Its interesting how different our experiences of the same show can be. The bloke and I went to that Brisbane show and had tickets seated, up the front, and to the side. From that position we both found the sound and experience lacked somewhat. We saw them that same tour at the Adelaide BDO and preferred that set. That was the year that Christoph from Rammstein hit the stage for a drum solo during Tool's set and Til followed with a flame thrower to light up the kit. Good times!
