Uh Tyson first your post being an ass stating you are Allen and Polanski fan but love their movies, implying my definition and interpretation of what a fan is and means in the fullest sense was flawed. Specifically as a tongue in cheek reply to me saying I am not a fan of Tool but I appreciate their music. What you called a joke later initially intended as as a jab.
That's not what I said at all dumb ass.
Obvious typo dipshit you said you do not like their movies you knew exactly what I meant but focused on the typo and ignored the relevant points of discussion
Ok you fucking retard looks like I'm going to have to explain the joke to you.

Both Woody Allen and Roman Polanski are reprehensible people, with Woody marrying his foster child and Roman drugging and raping a 13yr old girl then skipping the country and moving to Europe. Both are still lauded as geniuses for their films and have a massive fan base.

So when I said I was a fan of them but not their movies I was flipping the expectation of what usually occurs, implying I'm a fan of their heinous actions in life but not of their lauded films, thus in where the comedy lies.

Which in turn was suppose to spark debate on how one separates the art from the artist and can it be done? Can one appreciate say the music of Charles Manson even though it came from such an evil man?

In conclusion, you're a fool.

Also to boil down this argument you're having with she who must not be named, you're simply a fan of the music produced by Tool but not the band itself.

So you're a fan of Tool's music.

I was reading through all of this at work today and it had me smiling for ages. There is some funny stuff in amongst it all. Tyson's original comment cracked me up...

Edit: ^You got your post up just before me.

I am many things but a fool is not one of them. I am quite possibly one of the most intelligent individuals you will ever meet.

I knew exactly what the joke was as soon as you said it. However I do not believe your intent was to spark debate. I think you are spinning it that way now. The initial intent was aimed at me as a jab, as if I would not comprehend exactly what you were saying immediately.

I got exactly what you were saying. I simply do not believe your intent is as you are framing it now.

The reality of the situation is when you live in a world of satire it makes genuine moments come off as disingenuous. One cannot help but to question your intent when looking down upon and making fun of is your typical modus operandi.

I didn't hop in and explain your joke Tyson so there is no need to explain my little tete a tete with Mog, although I feel sure it was kindly meant.

Also you are buying in to Mogs absurd pedantry labeling it now TooL's music. It's just TooL. When someone says they're a fan of TooL I don't understand it as anything more than they're fan of the music. And that is that.

For goodness sake Mog, Tyson can be a right prick but he wasn't being this time.

Or maybe it's simply a case of your massively inflated ego and you think everything has to be about you, one can't simply make a joke, no, it has to somehow be aimed at you.

Moron.

That is most certainly not that dear Liz. My argument holds firm. Tool is the company. The music is the product. One can be a fan of the product and while disliking the company that manufacturers it.

Off to bed now the Aussie contingent takes a big L

It was fun back at it again tomorrow you will squeak out a win one of these days

- You like noisy music?
- Yes. The louder the better. Stops me from thinking.
- You don't like to think? What do you like?
- Never thought about it.

You ooze metro sexuality.

liz wrote: Thu Jul 18, 2019 8:53 pm To be clear Boldizar many of us don't think that Tool are that mysterious or lazy. Personally I appreciate their art enormously and look very much forward to the new offering.

I am not owed anything. Certainly I don't feel it is my business to critique how they choose to interact with their fans or conduct their lives (which doesn't of course mean I won't, and having a go at Adams WWE interests is always a dig I enjoy - so low brow).

VIP sessions and silly merchandising gimmicks are certainly not my scene but hey if they can make money doing that it's hardly their fault.

Choosing not to attend gigs, as some sort of protest vote or point of personal pride, is really quite silly.

I don't think they owe anyone anything beyond the base level of interaction required by the contract they willingly entered as a public (company) band. They do owe fans basic information and updates, basic infrastructure for merch etc... And they have none of that going on. For a band that is signed to a professional label it feels more like they are running a bogus Kickstarter.

I completely agree with Adam's interest in WWE. So odd. I like wrestling decades past, when their were people who actually entertained (RIP Macho Man), but it is none of the fun, all of the low value gene pool stuff. I saw a video on his IG of him proposing to his current wife at a WWE event. I want to know what she was thinking lol.
I know the pieces fit, I studied the numbers in Southern France.

A public band Boldizar? A company band? Just a band. Like countless other bands (albeit a very successful one). Don't let Mogs pedagogery seduce you into emulation, or, heaven forbid agreement.

Regardless TooL has no contract with you. You are owed exactly jack shit.

@Bob - Your complete lack of gumption in this thread cannot be over emphasised. Very disappointing. Kittaan was obviously encouraging you to shine. You did not.

What I really admire about Mog is his steadfast ability to always overestimate my affection. x
