Thanks. It's still too few and far between, but hoping to get back to "normal" eventually.

Junior, here's hoping wampas (can I call you wampas?) is correct and you and everyone can start putting on shows and we and everyone can start going to them. Just got tickets to go see Judas Priest in Oct. Hope you and the boys have many more tours ahead. I would love to buy you a beer the next time you are in Houston!

Eventually they'll get back out there. Just not yet sure when.

Well, they had WWE Smackdown in Houston yesterday in front of a big crowd (14k) and they sounded loud. IMO the only thing holding us from just getting past this are the antivaxers. Still too many unvaccinated people out there as potential carriers.

Are the live events being scheduled now starting to get into your area, Junior?

Yeah, about a week ago in Israel, who already have over 60% of their citizens fully vaccinated, they had about 300 new Covid cases on one day and 33 of them were people who'd received both doses. So, yes, the full vaccination won't fully protect you but it will significantly improve your chances of NOT getting Covid etc. Furthermore, the research also showed that those who had still got Covid despite receiving both shots of the vaccine were much less likely or 'less able' to pass Covid onto others (given how the vaccine works etc., I'm no epidemiologist either so don't ask).

In short: Vaccines are pretty damn effective! :)

Which is why I'm one of the very first Australians to be fully vaccinated!

I haven't been keeping a close watch on the progress of indoor events around here. Dodger Stadium has been back to full capacity for about a month, but that's outdoors. I think Staples Center went back to full capacity during the NBA playoffs about a month ago, but vaccine proof or a negative covid test within 72 hours before the event are required for entry. I don't know if there've been any concerts yet, but I see Grupo Firme have 7 shows coming up starting next week.
The Baked Potato is back to full capacity, but that's a much (much) smaller capacity to begin with.

My first major show since COVID will be Crimson, The Zappa Band, featuring Mike Keneally and The Guitar Trio on August 5th in Concord. It’s an open air gig at the Pavilion. What a lineup. Can’t wait.

Sporting evens in Canada are opening up a bit. the Jays are back in toronto (they were playing in buffalo for the last year or so) No concerts i know of yet (maybe some outdoor ? but i havent heard) In the Fall a smaller venue in my city is starting to do shows, thats the plan anyway. Were slower with vaccines being we weren't producing our own but its getting there. This stuff isnt over yet but lessening. With newer variants and how careful they are i think people are going to be pissed come the Fall but will see what happens. Kinda hard to tell how thats going to go but thats how it looks based on were things are and whats already happened.

Good to see at least some progress towards concerts again. I bet that Foo Fighters concert in NYC was epic. Keep on trucking Junior and I will continue to send positive vibes your way.

The Netherlands had a 48 hours test limit. After two weeks they ditched the system, a lot of events and clubs locked again. The 48 hour span was to long. So I wonder how 72 will work....

... @Australia, is it really true your lockdowns are ripped right from a young adult apocalyptic movie? Especially for people visiting Australia (eg journalist)?

I think the 72 was meant to allow for cheaper testing instead of having to get the more expensive rapid test, but that does seem like a lot could happen in 3 days unless the person self quarrantined.
Not really sure, since all the testing I do for TV work (3 times a week) are the rapid tests.

No, you just have to stay home, how hard is that?

But I'm not in Greater Sydney so I've never been in lockdown.

Anyone arriving to Australia has to isolate in a hotel for 14 days. Which I imagine sucks, especially for those who get cabin fever easily.

We're in lockdown here in Adelaide. It's freezing at the moment, and I can comfortably work from home, so it's no biggie for me.

The police escort you there directly from the airport. The stay is at your expense too
