Mark Lanegan has been confirmed to sing on the upcoming Queens of the Stone Age albumÂ
The official Facebook and Twitter sites for Queens of the Stone Age posted this yesterday:Â
Lanegan came by. He didn’t say much, but he sang good.Â
Troy Van Leeuwen said to Dean Fertita as overheard by Mikey ShoesÂ
Previously, Lanegan had been rumored to have heard several songs from the upcoming Queens of the Stone album and written lyrics for the album. With the confirmation of Lanegan, the new album will feature all members of the original Songs for the Deaf lineup, which included Josh Homme, Nick Oliveri, Dave Grohl, as well as Mark Lanegan.
- You like noisy music?
- Yes. The louder the better. Stops me from thinking.
- You don't like to think? What do you like?
- Never thought about it.

Apparently there are two separate "reunion" tours, neither of which involves Rollins. Â
I think Rollins has pretty much retired from music, so don't expect him to be playing with a BF reunion any time soon.
You are correct and no, I don't expect him to be performing anything other than his spoken word anytime soon.

Sounds quite interesting. Â First track is cool too:
The Nerve is a band based out of Prague, Bondi and Melbourne, that are currently putting the finishing touches on their debut release (being recorded at Keysound and Scream Louder Studios), after writing 24 songs in two months of creative fury in summer 2012.
With a line-up boasting Ezekiel Ox (ex Mammal) on Vocals, Lucius Borich (ex Cog, Juice) on Drums, Davarj Thomas (ex Pre-Shrunk) on Bass and virtuoso lead guitarist Glenn Proudfoot, this band has the chops, songs and no bullshit attitude that is too often lacking in modern rock and roll. They don't talk the talk, they walk the walk.

VERY interested. Can't wait to get a chance to give that track a listen.
Looking forward to hearing Borich outside of COG.

That was a great top ten. The bottom ten were a confusing mess. BARONESS? Seriously? I fucking adore BARONESS, but in the top twenty metal albums IN HISTORY they ain't.

^ Along those lines, I love me some Sabbath, but that list was way too Ozzy/Sab heavy.

Agree on both counts. Â Way to much Ozzy/Sabbath. Â Baroness isn't even close to top 20.Â
