You're looking at it the wrong way.

Scrap it. It's a useless tax that has done / will do fuck all for both the Australian economy and the environment as a whole.

It will also discourage large mining companies from developing new projects here .

And as for reducing emissions. So far, it has not.

Just more spin from the Dudd / Dillard regime.

With all these job losses I don't think I'll be moving anywhere soon.

Seems like it's almost time for a recession, while the government gives money to people to pay for nanny's.

Can't wait for Joe's budget, cut cut cut recession.

Interesting 3.5 years coming up.

Luckily you live in a country where jobs are plentiful. Yes there are job losses in certain industries, but if you really need a job, there are jobs out there and they pay pretty damn well. But you are right in the sense it will be interesting where this government will take this country . Unfortunately I have many many doubts about Tony. I've never liked the dude.

I have no problem with the QANTAS job losses, it's a business and I guarantee most workers are on above award wages.

I have no problem with workers earning above award wages if they are working in a highly profitable business, but QANTAS just lost over $200 million.

Don't really know what happened there. You'd think this country would do everything it could to preserve it's "Australian Made" Qantas. Its sad really. But I guess all things must come to an end. I feel for the people being made redundant, but this is one of the best places on earth to be made redundant. Good luck to em

Are we happy calling this "fully fucking owned"? Can we do that?

Owned?

I'm happy calling that owned.

Thanks, Tony, you fucking cunt. You've managed to make nearly every single person in this country a hardcore lefty because of your abysmally limited view of the world. You've also managed to make sure that the next generation will never, ever, vote Liberal.

Well done.

Pretty important story on 4 corners right now that I called a huge story months ago that never got traction.

Thank god for the ABC.

Spying on Indonesia.

How is a huge story? Surely it surprises no one that we spy on Indonesia and they do the same to us?

It was about spying on East Timor for commercial interests.

Lol my mistake, I caught the headline and switched off half way through I guess. Again though why would it surprise anyone to know this happens? We also bribe other countries officials eg wheat board anyone who shows interest in our polymer notes and there is no one who cares unless to politically point score.

Again, not unexpected. My only concern would be if there were SE Asian countries we weren't spying on.
