Edit: No, actually i'm not. I'm happy Maynard still makes music while Adam does, whatever it is he's doing. Puscifer has released 9 albums since 2007. That's a lot of stuff

this PROBABLY means 1 of 2 things....
1) The tool album is MUCH farther along that we all think it is, allowing Maynard time to do other music ventures

or

2) The tool album has been put on hold/delay or its no where near needing maynard in the process..

I guess its possible maynard is doing both project simultaneously but for some reason i just doubt it.

For those who are too lazy to check ToolBand.com

The other day an insider (and by "insider" I mean truly an insider!) told me that since getting back to working on material for the next record, things have been going VERY well. Now, don't read more into this than it suggests - which is that there have been some good writing/arranging sessions as of late. Progress!.. We'll take that any day!

Its posted along with an odd picture... anyone know what it is exactly??

It is the packaging for the new album. You stick your d*** in the other end and it plays the new songs. But they turn out to only be the "jams" played in concert over the last 8 years. Then a hidden mechanical hand in the box grabs your nuts until you pay $150 for the pleasure of them being released.

Note: I may have had too much coffee today...

do we think Tool will come up with a new logo for the new album? The name "TOOL" has changes on each album has it not? i wonder if they just stick with the 10000 days 'loop' logo

Tool always seems like a strategic band.

They won't want to miss the festival cycle for 2015

Album released late winter/early spring in order to headline Coachella / Bonaroo / etc.

By that point MJK's baby will have arrived and Adam's won't be a new born.

People really didn't see "FOOL"? I'm hoping for a new logo, a new producer (Bring back Bottrill), a new artist to do the album artwork, and most importantly new riffs. I'm still holding my dragon breath that the band's plans to make a double album have contributed to this 10 year Fuck n' tool delay.
