Seriously. I was in a pub watching and people were fucking shocked. Some VERY quiet fuckers in their Barca, RM and other Spanish jerseys... How the mighty have fallen. Remains to be seen if this was just an anomaly, but definitely a wake up call. ¡¡Hola Cavrones, quidense!!

@ Cheese - HFS = Holy Fucking Shit, as you well know. heh.

Then again it's one game in a tournament that only happens every four years.
Might mean something, might mean nothing.
Or it might mean something somewhere in between something or nothing.
It can't be everything, we know that.
Let's get that out of the way.
But it's something alright.

Just not sure how much yet.
Time will tell.
Mm, hm.

Yeah, Chile could get at least 4 more goals.

I predict 12-0 against Spain Netherlands

These Chilean players are soft as butter. Look at them the wrong way and they start rolling in agony on the ground.

Australia are actually playing alright now, but that first 15 minutes was awful, and will probably cost them any chance of getting past the group stage.

Yes, they're very good at the moment but lack that final finish.

That Spanish-Holland game was amazing. Man, that header into the goal. Sublime!

Spain really are one-trick ponies.

Spain getting thumped made for the most entertaining breakfast of my life. It was something else.

I need a lot of time to process this morning. I'll give a full review of the Australian game, but I will say this much now:

1. Tommy Oar is fucking useless.

2. Jedinak proves once again how useless he is. I have no idea why everyone loves him.

3. Mat Ryan cannot play international football.

4. Blaming the referee for our performance indicates that you didn't watch the game. Even when we won spot kicks and corners, we fucking squandered them.

5. Ange fucked up by not playing Taggart and Cahill at the same time. I've given that prick several chances, and I'm done. The dude cannot coach at an international level.

6. Poor Bresh might be done. Shame, as he's one of my favourite players.

7. If a Socceroo is prone to getting nerves in the first half, they shouldn't be playing. This is World Cup football. If you cannot or will not perform at peak, you do not deserve to play for the national team.

That said, I thought we played OK.

That's classic. Did anyone watch the game? What were you thinking once it hit 3-1?

See above. I was thinking "this is un fucking believable" Posted when it was 4-1 and was shocked when they closed it out with yet another nail in the coffin.

We were at Denny's, so I was just asking for more coffee and shovelling food into my face. I didn't even look at my plate - just totally glued to the screen.

If you had called the Dutch for 5-1 and had put money on it, you're psychic.
