The show is only a week and a bit away now.  Anyone heading to Vegas to check them out?

I wanted to try to make it out, but it didn't work out.  It's about a ten hour drive from here (SF), couldn't make it work. I am going to the 2 Primus 3D shows on NYE and the day before...So at least I'll be seeing one band in which the singer has his own winery and that Tim Alexander used to be in. Have fun to all those who make it though.

Gonna be there, thrs-sun! Picked up some vino at caduceus before the trip to start things off, staying at the flamingo. Probably gonna get a poster there, possibly 2 if someone's willing to trade me a Tool reno '12 for it....

I'm flying out Friday the 28th from Arkansas. It's going to be a great show and perfect way to bring in the new year.

^ my thoughts exactly, going mainly because 3 friends of mine have never seen live, living in az. I was lucky enough to go to the 3 back to back album shows they did in the small venue (marquee) & I don't think anything will ever compare to that! So these friends are like "what do you think they'll play?" No idea haha, but seeing as they didn't play vegas on the last most recent tour,i would guess maybe close to the setlist they had going? Anyhow should be a good time no doubt, really just can't wait till Tool does a U.S. tour again! told my friends we would go to which ever show happened first, no idea APC would win! guess you can't ever expect what Tool is going to do until they do it! (like japan! just hoping it's a tour that extends to the states!) Anyhow I'll be the dude in a leather jacket with a caduceus shirt on! See you there! Sec. 103 row R, not far from the mixing station wish me luck on nabbing a setlist!

Guessing a heavy emotive set. Because the last (2011) tour was an emotive heavy set, and that the 2010 mini-tour was 3 nights of each album expect for Vegas which only got the first two albums.

I remember reading an interview with Maynard not that long ago that the 2011 tour was essentially a belated tour for emotive because they never got a chance to properly tour it after it's release. So I wouldn't be surprised if there was less emotive this time around.

I pray every night to any God that will listen that this will be true.  If they play an eMotive set then I'm closing that God thread as it's a forgone conclusion.

I've never heard anyone complain about the 2011 eMotive tour that was actually at one of the shows. Most of those songs are AMAZING live and like live Puscifer when playing V is for Vagina, most didn't even sound like the album versions. I still get chills when I think about the live Annihilation. CHILLS.

Seems like interest in APC is pretty low at the moment. Really not excited by that setlist at all.

I guess they're just continuing the Emotive tour, that's not a very exciting setlist. Pretty much the same as when I saw them last year except for Orestes missing.

When a band doesn't create new music, it doesn't have a large library from which to select.

After the emotive set lists this one didn't look bad at all.

The inclusion of some pretty good "THIRTEENTH STEP" songs makes that setlist bearable.

I still wouldn't go to the show, though.

It seems odd to me that a band would continually play a setlist where a large bulk of the songs are covers...

The may only have 2 albums or originals, but that's more than enough songs to never have to touch the abortion that was eMotive.

Yea they have like 27 original songs/tracks, that's more than enough.
