I haven't seen the Iron Man movies so Iron Man 3 isn't included.

Shit still need to see Thor 2 as well.
Thor 2 was pretty average, which was disappointing since the original was good.

Iron Man 3 was ok, but probably the weakest of the three.

Aside from the recent Captain America (which I hear was good) Marvel Studios haven't had an amazing run of late. The director doesn't really have any runs on the board either.

Anyway, maybe it's just me. The humour in the Guardians of the Galaxy trailers does absolutely nothing for me. I'm sure I'll still watch it when it comes out on DVD, but I'm not getting the hype personally.

And as far as Mad Max goes, I'm not sure George Miller has ever really made a bad movie.

Also., David Lynch is making a new movie:

http://link.brightcove.com/services/pla ... 6307679001

Doesn't reveal much, but I have heard previously on the grapevine that he and Laura Dern are writing a script together - supposed to be a horror film.

And yeah, I'm aware of the of the fact that most of the "kids" on this forum will screw up their noses and whine "David Lynch....err he's weeeeiirrd" as soon as they read that.

David Lynch would make even a GI Joe film at least tolerable.
I don't know how, but...

From an outsiders perspective having not seen any of those movies it's pretty funny reading shit like that.... Hulk 19 was way better than xmen 38 or even Batman 143 but not as good as aquaman 6.

Why the hell can't studios come up with anything other than remakes and sequels, etc?

Well, there are plenty of movies out that that aren't remakes or sequels. Probably the majority actually. I just they don't get the same hype.

I for one am enjoying the success of Marvel movies because that means were going to get a Doctor Strange film eventually.

Wasn't there already a Doctor Strange movie?

It had like Bill Cosby or Robin Williams or someone in it.

Yes, a 1978 tv movie
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0077469/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1

Sequels are made because they make money.
If people would not go and they won't make money, well, then there will be less sequels etc.

Or Cronenberg with a Videodrome vibe to it.
