I'm talking about GotG.
Also the guy doesn't know who his dad is & only Rocket can understand Groot, much like only Han could understand Wookiee

Give it a chance dude, I think you'd like it. And if it helps I've been told by two lady friends that they were "dragged" to see it and ended up really enjoying it (you said your girl wouldn't be interested)The Boss wrote:This is the sexiest thing you've ever said.Ravenpig wrote:Also, as for all the "Star Wars" comparisons, this movie is more like "The Fifth Element" than SW.
And Fifth Element is an awesome movie, better than SW in my book.

Oh and I've been reading some reviews, apparently there are two huge Easter eggs in the extra credits scene that I missed because of, well you know .

Only a handful of people stayed out of a packed theater. I was surprised. Cool easter eggs. I think that was from before some of you were born. If you haven't seen that movie... probably don't, LOULzies. No spoilers of course...Ravenpig wrote:Oh and I've been reading some reviews, apparently there are two huge Easter eggs in the extra credits scene that I missed because of, well you know .

True. That went unnoticed by me, even though it's painfully obvious now that you mention it... was that your observation? Kudos. Not Tyson wrote:Also the guy doesn't know who his dad is & only Rocket can understand Groot, much like only Han could understand Wookiee

You should put that in a spoiler tag. It was a really cool and unexpected reference. Somebody may feel cheated reading that before seeing it.

Not from me phone I can't. Or at least I wasn't able to figure it out.Ravenpig wrote:I agree. Can't you do it?
Tyson deleted it, which wasn't really necessary, but as UKE is fond of spewing: "Problem Solved!"

About to watch the last episode of Luther, what a great show, he even drives a beat up volvo, so basically the character was based on me, I guess.

I agree the spoiler tag is a little retarded, but it's not my design!
For the record it should be:
Or you could just use the button in the editor - it looks like a white box with nothing in it.
For the record it should be:
Code: Select all

Watched Wim Wenders' The American Friend (Der Amerikanische Freund)on dvd over the weekend:

Had it for years but hadn't bothered watching since about 2008. Forgotten how good it was. Seriously recommend. Dennis Hopper plays Tom Ripley (the character later made famous by ......Madth Daymonh, in The Talented Mr Ripley several years later) a con man, living it up (or hiding) in Berlin in the late 70's. Gets involved with a German picture framer who has been given a dangerous assignment by shady underworld figures.
Also watched Jim Jarmusch's Down By Law.

Which also must be experienced by lovers of fine cinema...

Just finished watching Dallas Buyers Club. Excellent movie, one of the best I've seen in a while. Very well acted for the most part as well. 9/10

Nancy Reagan interviews Rodney Dangerfield, Chevy Chase, BIll Murray, & Ted Knight in 1980. hilariously awkward. Chevy kills it at the end lol

Well, I will see the movie, just not in the cinemas. It's not like I'm holding a boycott or anything.
Re: What are you watching? Film/TV
I've watched 6 of the 9 nominated films so far, and Dallas Buyers Club is the best so far. Still need to watch Nebraska, Philomena and Captain PhillipsNot Tyson wrote:Out of all the Oscar pics for best picture, that was my choice.hellboy wrote:Just finished watching Dallas Buyers Club. So comedy bang bang isn't just a podcast, it's an actual sketch show?
