Off to see these guys tonight. They are a lot of fun to watch.

Now for a change of pace on a Saturday morning. I'm so looking forward to seeing his theatre performance in November. At the risk of repeating myself (and I'm speaking to you Kittaan because I know he was in spitting distance from you recently) he is an artist you need to go and watch in the flesh.

Wait, which is it? Meat Puppets or Meat Puppets II? Who are the meat puppets? Am I a meat puppet? I don't think I'd call myself a meat puppet, but I could be! I mean how can I possibly know if I don't know who they are? Oh I'm so confused! I don't think I'll ever be put straight.

That tune wasn't unpleasant in the least, but frankly, didn't do much for me either. I've watched a number of live Nick clips and never found anything compelling enough to go out of my way to see him live. Living near SF, there are so many options on a monthly basis that I am constantly missing shows from artists I love. It's a hard sell to get me to commit time, money and energy to seeing an act that I'm fairly sure of not digging live. That being said, if the opportunity arises I'll keep it in mind.

That is certainly not one of his most compelling tunes but it was a new one which was why I was giving it a listen. I'll repeat myself again and say he is truly a must see live artist. Until I'd "experienced" him I didn't really get it either. And we Aussies don't have that many music icons you know, and I support lots of yours so....

- You like noisy music?
- Yes. The louder the better. Stops me from thinking.
- You don't like to think? What do you like?
- Never thought about it.

Just remembered a hilarious story about this song, I was in Video Ezy with the gf at the time, probably 99 or 00 and she picks up this VHS tape saying why not this one, I give it a going over, read the back and say fuck that it's about some chick with a retarded sister and promptly put it back.

Then I remembered around 15 minutes later that her older sister has full blown cerebral palsy who I had met many a time and was wondering why my gf of the time was trying to hide her crying.

Pretty sure we watched Predator that night and I got laid.

Good times.

She was pretty fat though, but dem titties.

I read that he loves Sepultura, Metallica and Slayer, particularly anything off of "Reign In Blood". what a cool fuck.

The Doors: Absolutely Live

My favorite live album ever. When these guys were on they were ON. The intro with the announcer begging the crowd to calm down sets a perfect tone. Great stuff.

Yes. Yes it does.

Although I kind of really hate the production, ESPECIALLY the guitar tone. But the writing and every single other thing: brilliant.
