I must have been one of the try hards, because I ain't short. The stubby and bald parts may be correct though. Perhaps you're thinking of pete?BlackHole83 wrote:
We made it to the BBQ HB, I think I may have even met you, short stubby bald dude right? Me and the misses stopped by for a couple of brews then once we heard the sound check we headed up along the fence line for a listen. We had just caught a red eye from perth but we sucked it up and it was a blast. I'm still pissed off we didn't get stall seats but fuck man, it was still an awesome show. Met a couple of cool ppl at the bbq, a couple of try hards but hey it's all good, nothing but TOOL love

Not sure, wasn't trying to offend either one of you guys. It was a good time, hopefully whenever TOOL get their shit together and tour Oz again, we can do another BBQ. Cheers
Re: Random Tool Social Media thread
Don't worry, I'm not offended - just kidding really. It was a fun afternoon - I look forward to doing it again. When they do a tour that includes a new album I'll consider heading over to Sydney or Melbourne again for a show.

Short but neat little clip I found on YouTube. Primus Danny's Aenema. That's Justin showing off his upside downy skills.

If Maynard is Amazon then what websites would the other Tool members be?
I'd say Adam is the ToolBand site if it was being accessed through a dial-up modem.
Danny is Bandcamp. There's good music there, but it can be hard to find sometimes.
Justin is MySpace. He's around but he doesn't get much attention.
And Paul would be Friendster.

no offense taken ... I'm accepting of the truth ... I'm honest with myself, and I think we both know that I'm little more than another poser doing my best to fit into an online community of other, possibly less nerdy, internet friends.BlackHole83 wrote:Not sure, wasn't trying to offend either one of you guys. More Salival's have appeared on Toolband (still available at time of posting for $100):

Seems to be an almost never ending supply at the moment!

Re: Random Tool Social Media thread
I don't think it's really rare or elusive. They're not hard to find on Ebay, or even Toolband these days it seems. Most sought after is debatable (signed Lateralus or Aenima vinyl I suspect would be higher on many collectors list). They're certainly not overwhelmingly valuable (though everyone who got one 15 years ago has made some money on their "investment").
I doubt these are reprints. It's a fancy enough package that I don't think a reprint would be trivial exercise, and probably not worth it for the quantities we're seeing now.

At the top of my collector's list is a signed 10,000 Days vinyl.

Can't blame Freese for leaving. Can't be easy to be in a band whose activity basically is at the mercy of two other bands, one of which is a super popular one.

Josh Freese also strikes me as the kind of guy who wouldn't want to be touring the same songs for 10 years.

Re: Random Tool Social Media thread
Puscifer were much better live than APC were when I saw them both back in 2013. A lot of that was due to the shitty setlist APC played though.

Re: Random Tool Social Media thread
Freese seemed pretty bitter when he announced he was leaving APC. I believe he mentioned he wouldn't be playing with them again ever. Billy later came out with a comment talking about commitments and how they would always have people ready to step in.
From that it doesn't seem far fetched that Freese might of taken a slight to being "filled in" for when he was available or without consultation. He, Billy and Maynard have long been the core of APC.
And even listening to Stone and Echo you can notice Freese isn't there. When I saw them live back on the 13th Step tour he was fantastic and had some of the best sounding drums I've ever heard live. Not a slight on Jeff, Josh is one of the best.

Honestly, that Miley Cyrus LSD is fanfuckingtastic. Loving the dark mood in all the songs.
