The VIP sessions weren't something I was going to do, but if this was near me I would totally go. Being guaranteed to hear just the 3-piece play music in front of me is something I would very much like to experience once.hellboy wrote:It's easy to understand why people "fall for it" - it's a unique opportunity to see the band in quite different setting to a normal show. its one of the best maynard interviews for me recently
this part i guess is coming from the experience of creating the new Tool album with Adam
"This album wouldn't get done if we didn't get in and start digging and chewing. We did it in under a year, from start to finish," Keenan says. "But it wouldn't have got done sitting in a room with us going back and forth, dicking around and overthinking things. Having him stop and dick with my vocals when he's supposed to be playing guitar wouldn't have worked. As a parallel team, we had to just get this done."

Re: Random Tool Social Media thread
I wonder if the rest of the band would nix Maynards lyrics if they didn't agree with them personally.

but maybe this lack of perfectionism is the reason why a good share of the ETE reviews so far are not utterly impressed by the album. i guess dicking around and overthinking things is what seperates tool's music in terms of quality of almost every other band out there._peterpwn wrote:https://www.revolvermag.com/music/mayna ... omed-world

I find 13th step and conditions of parole/ money shot to all be absolute quality albums but the rest of i can leave alone. (Not so much mer de noms but I find the 2nd half of the album takes a dive in quality)_peterpwn wrote:exactly

Re: Random Tool Social Media thread
I agree they are next, but its not that much of a stretch to assume that anyways. After Eat the Elephant, APC has fulfilled their 1 record contract. Puscifer will likely have a slight hiatus because Carina recently had a baby. So Tool *should* be next.ToolArchive wrote:

Anyone else think Maynard is trolling and sent himself that tweet from the Tool Twitter account?

I think he may have actually started that Twitter account. I don't remember why I thought this, but when I first started following it like 7-8 years ago I thought it seemed to me like it was the same person running the Maynard, Puscifer, and Tool accounts.Bill Hilly wrote:Anyone else think Maynard is trolling and sent himself that tweet from the Tool Twitter account?

- You like noisy music?
- Yes. The louder the better. Stops me from thinking.

- Never thought about it.

Does anyone else think Adam is kind of a cunt?
He must have known Maynard had recorded a new album with APC and was about to be in the whole promotional phase and tour that would follow but he decided to tell the world that the band is done and is ready for Maynard.
Starting to think Maynard fucked Camella and The Grudge lyrics was his way of telling Adam to get the fuck over it.
