Cinquanta - Puscifer, APC and Failure (MJK's 50th BDay)
Re: Cinquanta - Puscifer, APC and Failure (MJK's 50th BDay)
Junior said Adam wasn't there.
I thought Sober sounded just fine, I took them playing it with a keyboardist instead of another guitarist as a shoe of respect to Lazy Bones. Or I'm probably just reading too much into it.

Adam was at the loft working on the new album.
Re: Cinquanta - Puscifer, APC and Failure (MJK's 50th BDay)
Thats cool man - A few of us had a discussion after the Saturday show over a beer about Adam's absence. It just felt really strange. And with him being absent from social media over the weekend, along with the remarks MJK made earlier in the week (stop blaming me, etc), we felt like National Enquirer reporters reviewing possible dramas and conspiracy theories. I felt bad for Zac, but I couldn't help feeling a disappointment and resentment over the whole thing.
Just one other personal observation/random takeaway from the show: Having most of the musicians on stage in lawn chairs drinking their wine, talking, "vape-ing" (was that you Eustis?) when they weren't involved in the live song, and especially head banging and foot stomping to the other musicians, was one of the most relatable moments for me as a fan. The artists became fans at a concert, and that was pretty neat. Seeing Danny & Justin talking to James Iha, or Jeff Friedl almost missing the opening cymbal crash running to his rig and smashing it with his hand. Little bits & pieces like that keep coming back...in waves on the far too early cross country flight this morning, to my drive back to the ranch....Ahhh...Hope to hold on to these as long as I can. Peace!

Heh. Well considering that Billy was there and he used to be Adam's guitar tech I thought it would've been a natural one time only fit, but they went the keyboard route.

Nah, if a Shoe Of Respect were involved we probably would have heard about it.Ravenpig wrote:shoe of respect to Lazy Bones

Methinks LBJ is a little territorial when it comes to other people playing his parts.Ravenpig wrote:Heh. Well considering that Billy was there and he used to be Adam's guitar tech I thought it would've been a natural one time only fit, but they went the keyboard route.
O love will you read the letters I will send to you.

That's my guess. Talked to her and her sister right afterwards and she seemed emotionally drunk.arbutron wrote:As for last night, does anyone have an idea whether Rynne was 2. really drunk.

Emotionally drunk? What does that even mean?

Re: Cinquanta - Puscifer, APC and Failure (MJK's 50th BDay)
Meaning she was drunk to the point of mild conversational topics turning into emotionally charged topics, e.g. she was talking about Devo's performance and got teary just thinking about it while telling her story about knowing Devo since he was a wee-tyke hanging off of uncle Danny's leg and wanting to be a drummer when he grew up. She had a few drinks that night like many did. She was just on stage where it was more obvious than being a drunk in the crowd.badkittygothgirl wrote:Emotionally drunk? What does that even mean?
edit: I guess I should throw in this disclaimer: I've only met Rynne a handful of times. My impression of her on Sunday night was that she was happy drunk. All the times I've chatted with her or seen her interacting in a group of folks she has come off as a very enthusiastic/animated and an engaging person so she might just as well had been sober and her natural enthusiastic self....or...every time I've seen her (which was at a live show) she was drunk

There was also a moment where Danny was pointing to someone in the crowd and yelling over to Rynne to look and she couldn't figure out what he was talking about and kept squinting into the crowd. Turns out it was a guy in the 2nd row wearing a "Stumpfest" shirt that she's the curator of, a 3 night show she just completed last month in Portland, OR (awesome bands from up and down the West coast). She then yanked up her sweater to show that she was wearing a Stumpfest shirt, too. To anyone else that didn't know what was up she might have just looked like she was acting drunk/nuts.arbutron wrote:As for last night, does anyone have an idea whether Rynne was on 1. Acid 2. really drunk 3. shrooms or 4. She's just like that

Two. This one I can't log in with (I haven't cleared the cache/logged out on this browser). For some reason even if I change the password I still can't log in. Feel free to disable/delete this account, the other one works and I know I can log in with a password on that one.

This one is ridiculous but at least he's not taking himself so seriously.
