Nothing about this post doesn't give me a rock-hard erection.
Thanks. Now apparently there's a hotline or something that I have to ring. Or a medical professional to seek.

Holy shit, the new Dr. Who episode smashed it out of the park, what a fucking episode.
Listen
Now to rewatch the The 3 Stooges remake, eat and go to bed.
What a great night.
Larry David as a nun, what's not to love?

Just finished this
Out fucking standing on all counts.
One of the best black comedies I've ever seen.
John Michael McDonagh is two from two right now.
The Rover and Calvary locked in for the two best films of 2014.

I must admit it looked....OK from the trailer.
But friends have seen it and said it's only passable.
Interesting how recent Australian films Predestination, The Rover, Felony and These Final Hours all flopped on the backs of very good press here.
Seems the Aussie film industry and the Aussie cinema going public aren't seeing eye to eye.
What do they need to do to get people here to watch their films??

Just finished watching french "intelligent" torture porn flick, Martyrs:
I liked the idea of it and it is a "good looking" film in the way it is presented aesthetically and the last few minutes certainly got me thinking......but.....
It didn't disturb me in the way that, oh I dunno, something like Snowtown or Hidden did - and those films relied on very little gore.
It certainly wasn't the shocking "masterpiece" horror aficionados make it out to be.

First of all Snowtown should never ever be put in with torture porn. What the fuck are you doing.
Snowtown has very little to do with horror, ffs. It's completely separate from that genre.
Second, torture porn is fucking lame, having said that, Martyrs is fucking awesome, one of my favourite psychological thrillers.
Also your mates an idiot in regards to The Rover.

I didn't mean that Snowtown was "torture porn" as such - although it is psychologically disturbing. That comment was misleading and probably should have been re-stated in a different way.
Yes "torture porn" is fucking crap - no two ways about it.
Martyrs did not linger with me like Snowtown did. Snowtown was a "masterpiece", whereas Martyrs was mildly interesting but ultimately unfulfilling.

Snowtown is a great movie, one that I found genuinely unnerving, mostly because it's based on events here in Adelaide.
Martyrs has been on my watch list for a while now - I really need to get around to seeing it.
I'm keen to see The Rover as well, especially now that I have some idea of what the plot is. When I heard this was filming locally and Robert Patterson was in it, I presumed it was some shitty chick flick or rom-com. How wrong I was it appears...

Agreed to a certain extent.
Martyrs resonated with me a bit, Snowtown shook me to my core.
Have you seen Kill List? DO so.
Please tell me you've seen I Stand Alone. I never got the fuss.

He's a legit actor and I've never seen Twilight obviously. Cosmopolis was an abortion of a film, but you can't blame him for wanting to work with Cronenberg, just as much as you can blame me for seeing it in an empty theater after viewing Eastern Promises.

anyone watching the last season of Boardwalk Empire? first two episodes were amazing.
There were some really funny scenes, but none as funny as the deleted scenes. I have no idea why they cut the best parts, but they most certainly did. If you do end up renting it, don't miss them.
This is from the same folks that brought you "Wet Hot American Summer". So if you hated that, stay away from this.

Sounds more like it belongs in the fantasy genre than porn.
