I believe it's an aging musician thing.

 

They aren't playing to the same crowds they were 10-20 years ago, and now are more appreciative of the ones they have or something, you know?

 

Finally listened to a song this morning.

 

And just as I suspected:

love the music.

The singer, as with his other band, can't hit a note if you gave him  fucking bat and pointed him in the right direction.

Yeah, me and a friend I've known for years (who adores this kind of stuff) have both agreed that this is bullshit.

But cool if you like it. I can think of worse bands/projects to get excited about.

 

Yeah the more I listen to it the more I find that I don't really care for it all that much.

I couldnt agree more... I for one really enjoy the record but watching that video is so dissapointing... I've seen several videos of Chino and knew he wasnt the best in a live setting, but having seen Deftones live, Chino sounded fantastic... Maybe it was just the excitement of the show or the booze or whatever but I thoroughly enjoyed the show...

 

If they tour here I would still go but definitely with low expectations.

Chino does terrible vocals. Everything shitty about the 90s wank-metal-rap-scream vocals, he encapsulates.

After a lot of listens I love this album, Mission Sunset is awesome.

I mean I didn't hate it on the first listen either, I just keep coming back and liking it even more.

Fuck the haters, hope they come to Oz.

Mission Sunset is amazing. It took me a few listens all the way through to really appreciate all of it, but Mission Sunset is definitely the one I keep coming back to more than the others.

This album is a submissive womans wet dream and they love Chino
