I'm usually very happy I brought my earplugs for Melvins. Most smaller venues with serious venues are that way for me though. Also I have those nice molded "musicians" earplugs that don't cut frequencies too badly so it's not as much if a downer to wear them.

My ears are still fucked. The ringing has gone, but now everything is hella muffled.
Tyson, should we be able to pick some up at any chemist on the way to the show? I'm not going through this again, that's for sure.

For those playing at home my boss couldn't find where he kept them, I feel so ashamed, not only did I fail Crow I've doomed him to a life of deafness.
I guess I should commit Sudoku.

MELVINS. It's a set list for oooooold fans. If you've been with them from the beginning, you'll be rewarded.
I've been with them since '93. Probably longer than anybody here I'll wager.
No one knew "You're Blackened" (is that even the name?)
Your Blessened. (drools)
SPOILER
"LYSOL".
END SPOILER.
If I hadn't just wanked a few minutes ago I'd be doing so right now......

I missed that, how did anyone not know Your Blessened?
How can you be a Melvins fan and have not listened to Bullhead?
WTF
That said I'm more a casual fan of their later stuff, haven't even heard their new album yet.

Bullhead is a great album, but I'd put Houdini, A Senile Animal, HAT and possible a couple of others above it. I sure do love Boris, Anaconda and Zodiac though - I kinda wish they'd play one of them instead...

Houdini is the quintessential Melvins record for me
Well its reasonably hot and dry here and we make good wine.
Gig was excellent tonight. Loud but not outrageously so. Sound wasn't amazing to be honest but was good enough. More to come in the morning.

Still, I could hear it great outside.
Everyone I saw who left early was saying it was the loudest gig ever.
Wish I brought ear plugs now.
From what I saw live 7.5/10.
HELMET were much better than in Newcastle. The sound was excellent.
