That London set list is sick 264zn. To be honest they could play anything and it would be good for me. Always like to hear lots from the latest album though and this tour they are getting that balance spot on.

 

Setlist in Sydney last night was identical to Brissy. Minus one song.... Rivière. It did seem like Chino caught the rest of the band off guard when he started to play it. A poster on setlist did comment that it wasn't printed on the actual setlist. Lets hope you guys get it in Melbourne at the weekend. I will say Chino seemed on a real high, stage diving, real talkative, laughing and joking with Sergio a fair bit. Was a joy to watch. Bodes well for the rest of the tour I'd say. cool, man.  I really love the first EP, too.  The second isn't bad, but it's definitely like a classic b-side to the first.  Apparently, a third is already done and is just awaiting release.  All in due time I suppose.  Chino's been a busy mofo since Diamond Eyes.

Great review Pete. Nice one on meeting Chino too! Seems like they changed it up nicely between Friday and Saturday night.

 

Adelaide had the shortest set song wise but got Knife Party last night. It was cool to see they played Elite and Nosebleed at your show mate.

cheers... prolly could of rambled on for quite a bit more.  That show had me on a post-gig high like nothing else in the recent past.  I was happy with the set.  Needles and Pins (would have been my surprise track, if ever) or Riviere (like some other gigs) would have been welcome, but no complaints really.  The show was perfect as is and I'm happy for them to mix it up show to show all they want.

Yep, anything would have been great. It was just nice to see them really mix it up over the nights.

 

Here's hoping they are back next year for Soundwave. I am looking at going to Reading Festival in August though when I am back in the UK for a bit. I noticed recently that Quicksand have been added to the Friday of the festival along with the 'tones. Sergio will be a busy man that weekend!

So Deftones are playing a sideshow in Sydney but nothing has been announced for Melbourne? Does this mean we won't get one...? Anyone know how these types of sides shows come about? Was really hoping I didn't have to go BDO to catch just an hour set from these guys

Deftones and Pearl Jam are also playing at the same time which is rather annoying. And Primus playing at the same time as Cosmic Psycho's sucks as well.

Pearl Jam are playing 2+ hours and nobody needs that and with the 'tones being at the end (when it's likely PJ will be encoring with the A-side from Ten) and having not even listened to the latest PJ release, there's not really any clash in my opinion.

Also Deftones are bringing a massive light show apparently.
