ESCAPE THE CULT REVEAL VIDEO FOR I'M ABSOLUTE
EXCLUSIVE: Watch video for prog supergroup's debut single
Escape The Cult have released a video for their debut single I'm Absolute.
The prog supergroup – which features former and current members of Primus, A Perfect Circle and King Diamond – have created a unique take on the 'lyric video' format, with words from the song appearing as part of the background and scenery throughout.
Escape The Cult's debut album All You Want is released on Monday, August 18. Single I'm Absolute is out now.
Escape The Cult is the brainchild of Kamlath bass player Peter G Shallmin. He is joined by drummer Tim Alexander, formerly of Primus and A Perfect Circle. Mike Wead of King Diamond and Mercyful Fate is on guitar duties while French singer Matthieu Romarin, from Uneven Structure, completes the line-up.
NEW PINK FLOYD ALBUM COMING IN OCTOBER
Published On July 5, 2014
David Gilmour’s girlfriend Polly Samson has tweeted that Pink Floyd will be releasing a new album titled The Endless River in October. Work on the album began in 1994, during The Division Bell era, but work is being completed on it now. It features tracks from the late Richard Wright, but reportedly no Roger Waters:

http://metalhammer.teamrock.com/news/20 ... -to-studioGojira will head into the studio to record their sixth album after a winter tour with Mastodon.
Full details of the tour have yet to be announced, but it is set to kick off in October.
After their Apollo Stage appearance at Sonisphere today, Gojira frontman Joe Duplantier tells TeamRock Radio: "We are working on new songs these days, between tours and sometimes on tour. We can’t wait to record a new album.
"So we still have a few shows to play then we are going to tour with Mastodon later this year, in October. But after that we are going straight into the studio and we want to release an album next year."
The French group's last record was 2012's L'Enfant Sauvage.
Recently Nardwuar The Human Serviette took on the Wu-Tang Clan for an interview, including RZA (who, as expected, does most of the talking), Ghostface, and Raekwon (who recently reconciled with the group). To account for the large number of interviewees, it’s an extra-long video, filled with plenty of talk about obscure kung fu movies, the classic musical comedian Blowfly, and an obscure R&B recording by GZA. And it’s a nice to see Raekwon go from hiding his face in the back to actually engaging — even if he’s mainly chiming in to ask Nardwuar about where he buys his clothes. Watch it all below.
The biggest relief might be that it’s an interview where we don’t have to hear about multi-million-dollar price-tagged albums or severed penises, which seem to be the main ingredients in the Wu conversation this year.
