I know, but that was a bad decision.  Hopefully they did gain some knowledge for the sequel though.  The original was fun, but I gave up somewhere around the giant knight fight.

I listened to many, many songs last night by the band doing the soundtrack for "Blood Dragon."  They are called "Power Glove", not to be confused (who wouldn't be?!) with the videogame metal band "Powerglove."  Very cool stuff.  I imagine it is what the soundtrack of a robot porno would sound like.

^ Very cool.  I've always dug those '80s synth soundtracks.

That's good.  The PC port was ill-advised and god-awful.  Should have just spent that effort on the sequel.

It was terrible, and a bad decision from the developer in my opinion.  I'll be thinking twice about buying Dark Souls 2

The XCOM FPS's website has gone down and all the official trailers on 2K's YouTube channel have vanished as well.

From what I've heard the PC is the lead platform for Dark Souls 2, so I imagine it'll probably be better.  That said, I would still probably wait for some reviews.

Honestly, I have a feeling DS 2 is going to be disappointing.

Bethesda vice president has said that the company is going to be "making more noise" this year.

I was checking out the Bethesda job listings.  Seems like they're really trying knock WoW out of the park with ESO.

Good luck to them. Personally I'm done with MMO's until someone can actually do something interesting with the genre.  ESO sound pretty much like WoW on Tamriel, and as such I'm not interested.

Bethesda has moved on from Skyrim.

Skyrim has been a labor of love for us since we started designing it in 2006. We never imagined it would become the phenomenon it has. And that is because of you, the fans. It was all of you who made it a success. We can’t thank you enough for embracing the game, spreading the word, and making it your own.

For the last year and a half we’ve been working on new content for Skyrim; from the game updates, Creation Kit, Steam Workshop, Kinect support, to DLCs. Parts of our team have also been in pre-production on our next major project, and that game is at the point where it requires the studio’s full attention to make it our biggest and best work yet.

Even though we’re moving on, we’ll still have minor updates to Skyrim as needed. We’ve invested so much of ourselves into Skyrim and will never truly say goodbye to it.

We loved hearing your stories, your in-game triumphs, and your suggestions. One thing stuck out to us through those emails, letters, and postings. And that is – video games matter. They’re as important to you as they are to us. It’s not just about entertainment, it’s about your time. And you chose to spend it with our game.

Thank you again for all your support. We hope you stay engaged in the gaming community here and elsewhere. Keep spreading the word. Games are the world’s best entertainment because they can do what other forms cannot – fill you with the wonder of exploration and the pride of accomplishment. We look forward to sharing our next adventure with you.

Until next time,

Bethesda Game Studios

Hopefully they've moved on to Fallout 4, and not Elder Scrolls Online...

Elder Scrolls online isn't being handled by Bethesda, it's Zenimax Online or something like that.  Separate companies.

Bethesda teases a new game with a Vine of barbed wire and a scratchy record.

The tease is not a new Fallout game.

Speculation is that it may be a new Wolfenstein game.

Maybe it's a game where you play as a wizened old rockstar protecting his crop from javalenas and lunatics

Kinda sounds like that Fortnite game that Epic Games is making.

It does seem to have a WW2-era feeling to it.

Earlier this week, Bethesda teased a new project, and IGN can now reveal that it’s the latest title from Resident Evil creator Shinji Mikami and his studio Tango Gameworks.

Previously known only by its codenameZwei, the game is finally ready for its big debut, and tomorrow IGN will be able to reveal the title as well as the first teaser trailer.

Tune in at 5:00 a.m. Pacific / 8:00 a.m Eastern for the reveal.

According to shacknews.com this video may be a tease for the XCOM first person shooter.
