Nah, I doubt they're mad. Getting to within 5 days of official release before before leaking should be considered a win in this day and age.

As far as missing out on money, if anything cost them it was not having a Standard CD edition & Vinyl available for the 30th, rather than some unspecified later date.

Seems like all the focus went to getting the Limited Edition done, and it seems like that only barely made it out on time messing up the album rollout. A lot of people probably won't even have the Limited Edition for Friday.
It's been a bit of a clusterfuck of a release.

Again, if I was them, now that it's leaked, and seeing as the vast majority of people who would be tuning in to listen on Friday will have to do so digitally anyway, just put it up for streaming/download now, steer people away from leaks and onto official platforms.

Man invincible sounds phenomenal!

The lack of gong smash in descending was a little disappointing but Adams extra guitar touches on the solo more than made up for it. His growth has truly stood out the most. Dude really took it up a step. Please play it live for this tour when I can finally see you guys!

Pneuma is my first fave of the lot but will have to let all sink in.

I forgot chocolate chip was deemed a song so that was a nice surprise. Can’t wait to bang that through the headphones.

Must remember to never point at Maynard if I see him out in public dude really hates fingers.


So yeah I’m all over the place from lack of sleep and a huge dopamine rush but, thanks guys. It was more than I could ask for and the way last night came to be was the best possible way for it to drop.

Exactly what i was thinking, why not release a standard edition and vinyl on August 30, i’m sure the special edition would have sold out no matter what.

Welpi fucked up. I was about to listen with all you fuckers last night on the discord and before I played I decided to edit it for meta tags and I screwed up the original file! I ended up not listening to it afterall. I figured something was telling me to wait it out. So I decided not listen and just watch you guys react to your first listen! I've got one already paid for and the other should be coming from Amazon, (which I'm keeping sealed). I'll play which ever comes first!
But that was an epic night! I watched it unfold for three hours, lol! I've never seen anything like that before. Maybe I'll cave again later on, but for now I'm keeping my dignity in tact. But for how long?!?!

Going through my second listen, Pneuma is probably the standout. Some of the drumming reminds me of the intro of the live versions of Triad.

Great to hear Invincible properly too.

And the fans rejoice! Nice to see people are stoked bc this is QUITE a piece of work. Super impressive the band saw this thing through, the discipline holy holy.

Just a couple listens, but this f---ker flows, stately bordering on luxurious. The music plays them at points.

But 7empest? There's no way this song exists without all those grueling years going by. They are working out some serious shit in that song, haha. Better this than murdering someone, and yet it's so controled. Pure filthy evil. And like Danny said, good on Adam for letting loose and going for broke on it, you don't see that side often. My prayers for them playing it live.

To pick out one thing in particular, I love the choices they made with the vocal effects. This has such a unique feel for a TOOL song.
