Betty is the best choice given that Meantime was just an AOTW. If you are staying with Helmet you might as well then go to Aftertaste. If you are straying down another path after that just let me know as I can provide you with some real shitty choices as you have already pointed out that we all have poor taste in music.

no, I'm not, sadly ... the last two times I've seen them and he told the crowd to pick a song, both have been mentioned and his response was that they didn't have the right guitars with them (presuming he just meant instruments that were tuned for those tracks) ... no complaints otherwise, they sounded great

It's ok. Some tracks are decent and some are forgettable. It's interesting to hear a woman singing to "darker" (it's not that dark) music.
Anyone know of any decent female fronted heavier bands you could recommend? No Kittie, please. Unless it's the one from Arrested Development.

I swear by MARTINA TOPLEY-BIRD. I go nuts over everything that she does. Tends to be just her (obviously), but the music is fairly rich and with texJUST SAW A SPIDER FUCK.
With texture. Really great stuff. Start with her first "Quixotic" (might be called something different in your region) and go from there.
