Junior, this is a 1976 song, so I would have been 4 or 5 years old. I guess that means I am older than you. Did you have a chance to listen to this song? I hope I don't get any backlash, but the pattern of this song reminds me a little of 7empest. Maybe just because of the length of the song and the long guitar solo.

Dios in it so it has to be good! hehe. never heard this one. i was born in 1976, if were all dating ourselves.

its very 70's sounding if that makes sense. the only 70's rock i mostly liked was Rush. Even with them im more into there 80s material more, the later 70s rush is pretty awesome though. this isnt bad but prob not something i'd listen to really.

So you’ve never heard of Ritchie Blackmore, Ronnie James Dio or Cozy Powell? I grew up on that shit. Feels pretty tired to me now but brings back a lot of memories. Now, what were we talking about... get off my lawn!!

Kittan - I know who Richie Blackmore is (never was able to see him live) and was able to see Dio Live in the mid eighties. (His guitar player may have been Vivian Campbell when I saw Dio. I just wanted to share this song that most people hadn't heard. Weird that he went to Def Leppard. Don't be an asshole hater Kittan - I am just trying to share a great fucking song.

Bob, I didn't like Rush at the time. when I was in a band, our drummer swore by them. He slipped me a tab of acid and then I understood.

I checked the Wikipedia, and it looks like this song was released about a month after my 6th birthday. Not trying to one-up, just clarifying.
Rainbow certainly had a progressive tendency.
It's a good one.

did you mean the band UFO or did u actually see a UFO ? haha. i saw 4 red balls of light once high up in the air. they were going parallel to each other in a straight line for a bit (no sound of course) made a 45 degree turn and disappeared :o then 3 more came from the same area, went straight for a bit but didn't make any turns and disappeared the same way as the other ones did. that's the only time i ever saw anything like that. this was a long time ago at this point, like 2001 or sometime around then.

i see the UFO connection now after a quick google search. ha!

i first heard rush when my friend that was 4 years older then me let me borrow Exit Stage Left on cassette! those are good memories. he was funny. he'd tell me dirty jokes and what blow jobs were and stuff like that. haha. once him and his friend ripped out a pair of tits in a porn mag and stuffed them into the back of my shorts. when i got home and changed my mom found them going 'whats this??'' haha. fun times!

Okay Bob, when he showed me the Rush music - these guys taped lit up cigarettes on each of a fan blades (ceiling fan) and turned it on (not a big deal as I'm older, but back then it was trippy as fuck while listening to Rush). Also, one guy was on the roof lighting up ziploc bags and making these crazy sounds dripping from the roof. That was also a mind fuck. This was about 1990 when we were doing this and when I wasn't afraid to do acid. Now that I am older, I would love to do acid, but I won't ever again. Sounds like fun, but I'm too old to do acid these days.

Now Bob, you have set your self up for this. Tyson is pretty witty. My recommendations are don't say anything about anyone young or anyone old - otherwise Tyson will ATTACK!

Junior, it sounds like we are pretty close to the same age. I had a serious question about the recent tour. Why did Adam Jones have his old Mesa Boogie instead of his 2 Dieizel amps? (during the Glendale Az show January 16th 2020)? As far as I know, he replaced his Mesa with a 2nd Diezel amp. Just very curious on why he was using his old set up.

Calfium, seeing the band UFO or seeing a real UFO would be badass! So either one is GREAT!

I saw a ghost once! Not the band I don’t really like them, but a real ghost! Formed Right next to me in my passenger seat. I was on acid but the shit happened.

That sounds like a mix of lyrics and themes from Passenger, Right in Two and Lost Keys.

The dripping of burning synthetic materials is indeed a crazy sound.
