If ya like these guys should check out 'full tone generator - valley of the universe' from down this way. They recruited brant bjork on the drums and made a pretty solid debut not long ago. Singer is aping Garcia's style quite heavily but I'll allow this when he does such a fine job of it

I've lost count the amount of times I've heard amount an imminent Metallica tour announcement and it hasn't happened.

Haha yeh but have been expecting something to be dropping soon enough. They've always toured here in the summer months since day dot so expecting a late 19 early 20 tour. Fingers crossed anyways.

Yep it's a thing. I'd have preferred baroness again and no doubt this is gonna make tickets 10 times harder to get but hell I loved the first slipknot album back in the day so I'll still enjoy them as a warm up. Beats the strokes ala 2004

Saw Oz Noy last week, with Dave Weckl and Jimmy Haslip. Those are some talented mofos. So tight and so much understated virtuosity. Loved how they can shred, but it still grooved hard. Highly recommend. Oz has a new album coming out next week.
