To me there's no difference in hating Tyler Perry movies and hating Bieber, Nickelback, etc.

It's not your thing, you're not gonna watch it/listen to him/them, then why worry about it?Â They've all got their audience let them enjoy it.

It's like if someone gave you shit for liking a band named Tool.Â "Oh the band with the song about opening your third eye?Â That's gross and dumb".Â Stupid, right?

You should read the article, it discusses some of the problems with his movies, and there are some real reasons to hate his movies.

His newest film suggests that women who cheat on their husbands deserve to get HIV/AIDS.

The problem with Tyler Perry is that he's only person making mainstream Black movies and that puts him in the position of being a role model, and in that position he's pushing deplorable concepts.Â If Justin Bieber started spouting anti-Semitic statements, I'd have a problem because he influence over a large group of people.

If there were other people making black movies as popular as his then I would agree, but when he's the only person doing it, then I think he should be a bit more thoughtful.
