Sleepmakeswaves will have a new album out in July called 'Love of Cartography'. The new single is a little underwhelming but I could listen to that intro all day. After hearing the recording sessions I think the rest of the album might be a winner.

The vinyl only release Praparat was their best thing in years. Very shoegazer. Shame it wasn't made for a general release as it would have gone down a treat with the indie/Pitchfork crowd.

Only way I could score a copy was to go to one of their gigs.

My best friend has (I'm not kidding) the biggest, baddest Boris / Sunn O))) collection in the southern hemisphere. There would be literally only a teeny tiny few items he has yet to acquire. He even went straight to the source and bought a whole lot of rare shit from the Inoxia Record label IN PERSON!! IN TOKYO!!!

The dude traveled all the way to Tokyo to buy Boris albums.

If that isn't dedication I'll go he.

I think he owns ALTAR in every format AT LEAST twice (ie 2 vinyl, 2 vinyl deluxe editions, 2 cds, 2 cds deluxe editions....etc etc etc).

He would have around 100 Sunn O)) / Boris albums.
