It certainly IS a powerful statement!
I'm sure that's what went down with BKGG and CJ!

Kinda surprised there are still some Portland packages left. Not that surprised about Eugene.

Damn Australian Tool fans got lucky, about what 20 - 30 people at each VIP session?
Americans get 150+
Doubt they'll pass around Adams guitar with that number

Well as long as it's not a fish I suppose
I genuinely think (horrible font choice aside) a couple of the Fish posters were really good. I particularly like mine from the Atlanta show.

Agreed. Which is making me even more ambivalent about that spur of the moment click. Whatever, it's only a days pay after all, wot?

Anyone know how Bill Graham works? The entire floor is GA? Do they set it up similar to some of the midsized LA venues where the first 100 or so get a wristband to be in the "pit"? I'm just curious what I'm buying if I get GA tickets.

I hate it when you dont get the poster then regret it later. I did that at the St. Louis 2010 show (poster made by justin) ended up buying it on ebay for 3x's the price lol.

Oh man I don't think I would've been able to pass up a poster by Justin even if it wasn't any good.

Well @ the time i didnt know it was made by him. I got the poster at the show the night before (KC), didnt go past the merch booth before the show because we had floor tickets. There was a huge line at merch after the show so we were like Eff it. Then to find it out it's one of my favorite posters, just had to buy it. Now i have a poster to every show i've been too.

Oh I see, makes sense you wouldn't know it was his until someone who already had it told you.

there's no pit. you can go anywhere you want at any time (except VIP area, i suppose), but the good seats upstairs fill up fast. i went 3 times for phish in 2012 and sat in loge one night, balcony other 2 nights.

Agreed. Someone must've done something very, very bad and seeing Phish must've been the punishment levied by the judge.

Admittedly, Phish wouldn't be a show you'd catch me at either, bu't least he didn't use an excuse like "my girlfriend dragged me to the show"
cough*thirdeyeblind*cough (and actually I think it was much worse than that, but can't remember the heinous band(s) you mentioned)

Wouldn't surprise me to see Tool in Vegas, not so sure there is going to be anything I'd classify as a "residency" though...

Why would they want to play in LA, it's a fucken hole. Minus the Dodgers and Lakers

Not that I'm complaining (I'm getting two shows up here in NorCal, so I couldn't care much less) but to answer your question:
1) It's home town for 3/4 of the band
2) Why would they care if the city is a "hole"? They aren't going to be playing outside, and there are plenty of decent venues with a guaranteed sell out crowd.
3) Fuck the Dodgers AND the Lakers.
Now, if your question was meant to be rhetorical... just ignore the above.
