Well, all polls are questionable on some level... the Adam win was patently ridiculous because of the category he was in. I don't really see any way to justify him being a "Shredder" in any genre. Just makes zero sense.

Now, with this drummer poll, at the very least, the category Danny is in is "Technical Master". Granted most of the candidates are questionable in terms of being "Metal", but genres are a joke for the most part anyway.

Bullshit. Tomas Haake is every bit as good, if not better. Why do you think DC respects the guy and the band (Meshuggah) so much? Completely different approaches and styles of drumming (genre is very much relevant in this context). They are both brilliant drummers but in terms of Metal, specifically, Haake shits on every other drummer on that list.

Danny has demonstrated he is capable of nailing a large variety of musical genres, and performing all of them at an extremely high technical level. Can you point me to some clips of Haake stepping outside his box? I have seen nothing to demonstrate he's more than a one-trick pony in that regard. I do think he is amazing at what he does, but I don't respect him nearly as much as Danny for that reason alone. I think if Danny devoted his entire musical life to that discipline, he would be every bit as good as Haake at what he does. I'm not asking you to agree with me, just stating my opinion.

I agree that it's silly that Toolband has been promoting it. I can understand why fans get excited about this things, but the band members? I'd be surprised if they really gave a fuck (even though Toolband may suggest otherwise).
