I still listen to tool. Why not. Just cause it's not new music? Doesn't stop me from listening to classic rock.

TooL is still rotating in my car. My musical taste settled in 1996-2006 and has not been developed since. However, I can listen normal pop music and all that is on the radio without problems.

I like hearing my voice, so I recorded myself reading all of Blair's newsletters from 2000-2014. I play newsletter audio books wherever I go. I take my ghetto blaster to the grocery store and when walking my dog. The waterproof sony walkman is specifically for my naked dips in the nearby river. My favorite, of course, is my FLAC to 8 track converter for my 1986 dodge colt rag top.

I do the same, but in a low hush tone in surround sound, comforts me while I'm doing busy work.

Every time I listen to Tool lately I'm reminded I don't need a new album, I already have what I need.

But whatever, clutch it like a corner stone.

You know what: If "LATERALUS" is the happiest this band will ever make me, I'll fucking take it.

Still, my natural childlike curiosity really would like to see another album at some point soon.

I see the proverbial sun rising in this thread; It's bright, blue and shimmering.

As much as I love Tool's music, I can't bring myself to posting in the love muffin thread. This wait for a possible album with no real information is beyond obnoxious. As much as I can respect the positivity around here and the turning of a new leaf, I can't participate. I might come around if we get something concrete regarding progress or studio time. I have a small bit of optimism that the silence from the camp could be a good thing. I'm losing interest though.

I could fake it. A band like Tool cannot fake the funk on a 10 year dud though. They better come correct this time, especially for the wait. They need to bring it. I have faith, but it's dwindling quickly.

Even African-American females with bronchitis whose apartment complex just caught on fire would make time for that.
